I always liked dragons, and I was fascinated by Justicar Trueheart and Coldarra Drake, and with dragon priest having such success, I thought: Why not try a dragon mage? I don't know if it's super-awesome-spectacular-insta-win materials because I'm just a casual player, but I know I'm having fun playing it and it feels good.

I feel it's a midrange kind of deck because you try to control the board with your lower-mana cards, but cards like Blackwing Corruptor, Coldarra Drake,Justicar Trueheart can put some pressure on the opponent and can help reach a T7-T8 win at times.

Mulligan: any 1-, 2- or 3-mana cards except secrets. If you have a 2- and a 3-mana card and a dragon (any dragon), keep it - that's the perfcect hand because you need a dragon to activate your key control minions.

Ideal start (turns):

  1. usually pass even with Coin (unless you have two 2-mana drops and expect an aggro deck)
  2. Snowchugger
  3. Blackwing Technician OR Frostbolt+ Coin + 2-drop/ping if you feel pressure
  4. depends on board, Coin + Blackwing Corruptor tends to be great, or Twilight Guardian

Suggested swaps, if you don't have the cards:

  • Rhonin -> Dr. Boom, Ragnaros etc., or another big dragon (see below)
  • Malygos [/card]-> any of the big dragons: [card]Ysera, Chromaggus, Alexstrasza, Chillmaw, Deathwing could all be great
  • Justicar Trueheart -> Sylvanas Windrunner or some more aggressive 5-/6-mana card
  • Rend Blackhand -> seeing that almost all decks run at least 1 legend, this guy is actually pretty awesome because he often clears the board and sets up a big threat that has to be countered; if you have to, swap for something to take out big threats (Polymorph maybe, or Big Game Hunter)
  • Twilight Guardian, Coldarra Drake -> pretty essential, I spent 1600 dust to get these; swap Coldarras for some other strong dragon, Twilights for some hefty taunts
  • the other cards are pretty much what makes the deck and should be possible to get np, but I'm sure people will have individual tweaks, what suits them better

That's the basic idea. Hope you like it and have some fun games with it!
