Thanks Khristophesaurus For this Amazing video!
This is the newest priest deck I use in this season. The reason I use it is because it can improve the winrate of faceing aggro decks and its stability against aggro decks such as face hunter, mech mage. Those decks don’t use silent cards or they don't have many removal cards. So it usually wastes the opponent more damage to deal with when you double the life of deathlord. And when you make a wall with more than 20 HP.I think the opposite will be desperate. At the same time, this deck also has a good performance facing the traditional control decks, especially against patron.
Overall Strategy:
This deck keeps the main part of the dragon priest and runs two lightbombs as removal solution methods, runs divine spirit and inner fire as lethal damage push, because usually the life of cards in dragon priest is relatively high and very good synergy with buff cards. When you have a minion of 6 or moreHP you have a good chance to kill opponents minion at little cost. Of course these buff cards not only use in OTK combo, but also can make a wall to win easily against aggro decks.
Here is an analysis of different match ups
Favored Match Ups: Face hunter, mech mage, aggro druid, patron, secret paladin, zoo etc..
Mulligan: Northshire cleric, Twilight Whelp Wymest agent, Deathlord. If you have a deathlord you can also keep one divine spirit.
Against these decks first of lal you need to look for 1, 2 cost or deathlord to keep board presence while looking for opportunities to buff your high hp cards, for example deathlord and twilight guardian. but remember dont invest buff on the same creature unless you have leathal so when the opponent silences it you dont lose too much board control and it keeps board presence after trading. When playing against aggro decks board control matters more thsn removal. you should play minions as much as you can.
50/50 Games
Midrange pally, oil rogue:
Mulligan: Northshire cleric twilight whelp wyrmest agent deathlord. you can also keep azure drake and twilight guardian when you have 1 or 2 cost creature.
This deck doesnt have many 50/50 match ups because it has great advantage over agro decks and control decks with no methods to do a lot of damage to get lethal. It lacks against late game decks with high lethal dmg in one turn. So when you face mid pally and oil rogue, they do not have to play around ur buff cards, because pally can use equality and oil rogue sap so try to bait them then use buff, or when your minion can attack or trade to get some value not the turn you play the minion
Unfavored Match Ups: Handlock control warrior, mid range druid
Mulligan:
Northshire Cleric, Twilight Whelp, Wyrmest Agent, Deathlord Azure Drake, Twilight guardian. Dont keep the combo, we need more creatures for board pressure.
These are bad match ups but we if we get good early board control or dmg we can get good value from trading.
When playing handlock, we need to control the board and try to draw as much as possion into divivine spirit and innerfire to easily kill our opponent. try and draw these cards while applying as much board presssure as possible . The key is to find the right time to use a bomb as well. Against control warrior and mid druid, get as many value trades and draw a lot with cleric mean while trying to maintain board control. We need Northshire cleric early in these match ups to draw.
Our worse match up Freeze Mage
Mulligan: Low cost creatures and innerfire/ divine spirit
Freeze mage is the opponent we do not want to see due to the lack of heals. There is no way to deal with frost nova and doomsayer. When we face freeze mage we must try and grab combo and push as much dmg between turns 3-5. We do not wait to combo this match up. IN order to win we must get early dmg , and hope we kill by turn 7 or 8 and use boom bots in our favor as well.
Alternative Cards:
Dark Cultist: This card can be used when facing control decks, it can effectively trade and buff our own creature compared to deathlord without any sides.
Shade of naxx: it is best against control decks because it is safe to buff this card.
Eydis Darkbane: This card works fine in this deck, but its random affect can affect our desired goal, and in order to activate it we might waste some buff cards which will lead us to lose some games so i personally dont run this card.
Key Cards:
Deathlord: Against face decks, its side effect will be very small and play it after clearing the board using like lightbomb the opponent usually cant deal with it. Against patron it can pull the warsong and frothing berserker and we will the let the opponent cry in despair :D
Lightbomb: Against patron secret pally and handlock this card usually gives us the victory why it is important to run two.
Hope this guide helps a lot of people. Feel free to send me a message if you have anymore questions. I stay away from comments generally too many trolls
Edit took out sylvannas put in chillmaw
http://www.twitch.tv/dwayna27 I just started streaming come watch me :D
Just got Ysera to 76/76 to finish off a Warrior with lots of shield... That was fun! :)
I've just made Deathlord 40/40 in 5th turne (with coin). Yep, this deck is definetely fun and strong.
Btw. Imo you can replace Boom with Chromagus if you dont have it. Works for me. :)
Kappapride
I don't think so. Basically it's against Patron and Aggro decks. There is a lot of cards to replace like Vol'jin, Sylvanas or Chromaggus or something else.
If you already have the important legendaries such as Sylvanas, Dr. Boom, etc. Then yeah, you should craft chillmaw because he's essential in every dragon deck.
What's a good replacement for Chillmaw? Don't have it....
Vol'jin, Sylvanad, Chromagus
Like Darksantaa said above, but also Loatheb is a pretty good card here in this deck, Especially since removing minions after a Loatheb is near impossible if the enemy don't trade and enables you to combo for an finisher.
Having a lot of fun with this deck, thanks for posting it.
Yes, it can be hard at times to have a proper starting hand, and you're gonna lose a few games due to too many spells and not enough mobs to play. But it is nothing compared to all the turn 6 kills and all the laughing like a maniac when you send your 34/34 death lord in your opponent's face.
The thing is, with power word and velen's in addition to divine spirit, almost any mob can become a huge threat, at any moment. This deck isn't as reliable as combo druid but it might take its place as the easiest combo deck to play.
OP himself says its bad against handlock. If you really are facing 70% then make a deck that counters them and you should be able to climb like crazy
@Dwayna22
How do you play if you dont have 1-2 mana minions? Do you play lord? Do you play Divine in start game to survive?
If you play vs secret paly - do you play lord on turn 3 if you dont have 2/4 or 3/6 taunts? Or you just passed?
I realy dont understand - i must play tempo? or passed like in control decks?
@Dwayna22
So i make some video with playlists.

Its not all my games, but only 7. Im started 5 and finish on 8. In same game i trying switch boom for chillmaw.
PS - now i take standart build - and with win steak back to 6 rank)
PS - for my competetive - im not legend player - but every season i ended on 2-5 rank. And i wish to do legend with this cool deck
And yep - some times - i lose to face hunt to - if i had bad draw))
For the real problem of this buils - its have low number of start minions - i always lose board in early game. But yes! I have good games vs handlock.
no i did not know tempo storm listed it and yes ill take a look at it :D
You are using your combo pieces like they are nothing without even thinking about your opponents removal. Obviously anything anyone will say and has said to you has meant nothing at all.
Several times too you played a Twilight Guardian without getting the taunt bonus. Video 7 you played a guardian that his acolyte could get a card from.
But i cant play nothing - i will die :) Ill play combo pieces only to survive one more turns. The biggest problem to me - its to survive.
On 7 video i played Gurdian - because i wanna eat his remuval - and i did it)
Yes but you also gave him card draw and his minion was still alive giving him even more card draw. Basically allowing him to draw 2 cards which is called Value
There was games that you could have survived easily without using combo. Just seemed like every time you had a deathlord you slapped a divine spirit on it and your opponent cleared it with his removal.
The game vs secret pally after he played MC it looked like you were going to throw a deathlord down with divine spirit on it again but instead you stopped yourself and instead conceded. Pallies have secrets that can reduce a target's health to 1 as well as Equality.
Go spend some time looking at every class's removal and learn to play around it rather than slapping your combo cards on whatever.
"Just seemed like every time you had a deathlord you slapped a divine spirit on it"
Yep. because I'm afraid that my opponent will kill lord on next turn - and receive free dr.boom/shredder/emperor etc. So every time when i play lord - i try to buff him. its mistake?
YES!!!!! Because if they have removal in hand you just gave them a free minion plus whatever else they play that turn. YOU are giving your opponents VALUE and TEMPO from the way YOU are playing.
hmm... ok. i play turn 3 lord.. they attack him. Turn 4 lord have 4/3/2 hp - ill must play 3/6 taunt(but opponent will kill lord and gets free minion on board) or heal and buff lord(but oponent maybe have removal).
I never played priest before, i always play mid and tempo deck like mid paly. I always fight to early board cotrol)
