Here’s an updated Dragon Mage deck list by Brian Kibler. Illuminator has slowly gained acceptance as a reasonable card. Explosive Sheep is a great sweeper against aggro, and landing a Duplicate on Sludge Belcher will further slow down aggressive decks. Rend Blackhand makes a rare appearance, it is still a fringe card, but can swing games heavily into your favor if you land it on a high priority Legendary. Alexstrasza can bring you back in the game, or take down your opponent to a manageable health. Nefarian can give you more options and outright win you games if you draw into quality spells.
Update for The Grand Tournament: +1 Effigy, +1 Blackwing Technician, +2 Twilight Guardian, +1 Chillmaw, -1 Explosive Sheep, -1 Fireball, -1 Azure Drake, -1 Sludge Belcher, -1 Flamestrike
He just loves Nefarian!
why no Ysera ?
Alexstrasza can go into any control deck but as you said you don't like Warrior so you are not gonna use her there but it's pretty useful card for Freeze Mage and I have seen people playing it in Rouge. I play control warrior every now and then and used her effectively. If you have 5-10 damage on board and on turn 9 you can use her on your opponent and they will go defensive. I am not a pro that's my thoughts over this card.
Also you should give control warrior a shot and nobody run Patron in that.
