I just threw one of those in here to try it in place of one argus
It's the kind of card that makes you win harder when you're ahead and is a huge waste of 4 mana when you're behind. In theory it could be a fun to play, but in reality there's just no reason to put it in your deck. The best situation where it could really be useful IMO would be if both players are top decking and hero-powering because there's a good chance you have a bunch of totems up and it would be good. But it's too situational.
Couldn't you say the same about defender of argus?
No, because if you are behind it gives you taunt.
Totemcarver isn't win more, it's supposed to be a win condition because totems in and of themselves are still (largely, there are obviously exceptions) 0 atk creatures that don't win the game on their own.
I'm not saying that I think you're wrong about it being an average, situational card, but win more has a pretty strict definition.
A far better win condition would be bloodlust or the new thunderbluff valiant which can immediately make good use of your totems. I'm not saying the totemcarver is a bad card, it can be really good. I was just saying that the reason people aren't taking it is because there are better cards that aren't as situational.
