The Juggermill is real! This deck consistently Crushes all opponents, strong against all classes and I have yet to lose to a hunter! Probably the most fun deck I have ever played with no scripted play style. Depending on the matchup your Youthful Brewmasters can always win the game for you. Return Antique Healbot or Shieldmaiden if you need a health or armor boost, or obviously stack their deck with 2 or 3 Burrowing Mines :) Staying alive and keeping your opponent's board void of minions is quite easy and epic wins ensue!
1st attempt at writing a small little guide:
Against most classes you want to mulligan for Fiery War Axe, Deathlord, Whirlwind, Explosive Sheep, Shield Slam, Execute, Shield Block, or even keep Crush if you have a Deathlord. If I expect aggro and have a weapon and one of these other cards I will keep Brawl.
Against Warrior you are better off with a Death's Bite than a Fiery War Axe so you can 1 shot their Armorsmiths and you also don't really need the lower costing cards. I haven't had too much trouble with warriors, but they seem to be rare right now.
Explosive Sheep is great against Druids since they will usually play an early Shade of Naxxramas other than that any low costing cards are fine, probably keep Shield Block and Shieldmaiden even so you have too much armor for them to combo kill you.
Against Huntards you want Fiery War Axe and Deathlord above everything else, Explosive Sheep and Shield Slam/Shield Block also great keepers.
Zoolock: (same thing as hunters really)
Handlock: sadly easy matchup, I always mulligan for zoo, but if I happen to play a handlock and get Coldlight Oracles I always play them early when the handlock has 8-10 cards in their hand and burn their cards
Mages: same thing as zoo/hunter, but if you happen to play against a freeze/fatigue mage you really can't lose. This milldeck counters other milldecks hard.
Shamans: always keep Brawl Explosive Sheep and any weapon you get
Paladins: Win Axe or Death's Bite, Explosive Sheep, Whirlwind, Brawl
Priest: Usually don't come out with guns blazing, let them draw their cards with their cleric, it helps you win. Just armor up and play very passive until they play something worth killing. BE CAREFUL PLAYING Ysera if you are running her! Maybe don't even risk it until all other options are exhausted!
Rogues are so uncommon right now, just expect mech rogue and keep some low costing cards.
Basic Strategy:
In the early game I often just armor up as much as possible, but kill any major threats like Undertaker and Mechwarper obviously. Dont be afraid to use a Shield Slam or Execute on some piddly little minion, because this deck has enough removal to kill every minion in an entire deck and leave them with nothing.
If you don't get a terrible hand and make it to turn 5/6 without being overwhelmed you start dropping Antique Healbot and Shieldmaiden and by this point zoo is usually out of cards and out of steam and it's an easy win. If your health is still low use one of your Youthful Brewmasters to return the healbot or shieldmaiden to your hand and use it again.
Turn 7/8 I very often combo Brawl with Explosive Sheep or even Coldlight Oracle, you can also just use a Crush for the full mana cost to remove the Dr. Boom or other big turn 7/8 threat they just played.
After this point you just keep their board clear, armor up, Shieldmaiden is usually good for killing something. I always try to save 1 brewmaster for my Iron Juggernaut, but it's not essential to winning. You can put a Burrowing Mine in their deck before or after [card]Alexstrasza[/card] I often keep my coin until turn 8 just for an early Alex. at this point you've probably won, use your oracles and make them run out of cards, you win. If they still have 20+ health and I'm at < 10 I will just use Alex on myself a lot of times because the mines and fatigue damage will kill them anyway. Better off staying alive and making them die slower than risking your own demise!
SEE LATEST EDIT FOR POSSIBLE CHANGE, STILL TESTING!
I was trying to keep it as budget as possible with only 2 legendaries, but if you want to add more, Ysera and Baron Geddon work extremely well. Baron is like a mini brawl that gives you a nice 7/5 body that they have to deal with, combo with sheep for even more destruction! Ysera can also give you a board clear and free minions to drop when your opponent's options are running thin. Or there's always Sylvanas Windrunner and Dr. Boom of course. All good choices depending on preference.
Cheers! Happy Juggermilling!
Any replacements for Ysera, Alex and 2nd Crush?
Big Game Hunter would probably work fine for the second Crush IMO; same cost and gives a body. If they don't have 7+ attack minions(namely Boom) you're probably not in dire need of the extra removal. If anything he may be better than Crush because you can bounce him if the enemies deck calls for it.
Alexstraza seems fairly important and I don't think there's anything that could replace it effectively. You could try some Molten Giant Taunt shenanigans if you have the cards. Doesn't help get their health down, but at least you have some capacity to protect your own when you're running low. To get their health down maybe just add 1 or 2 Ancient Brewmaster; if you have more bounce you can increase your potential for Mines, as available, and mill/heal in other cases. As such he offers similar duality to Alex and the bounce shenanigans would mean he'd probably affect your mana curve in a similar way, despite being a 4 cost.
Ysera is kind of a priceless power card TBH, but Chromaggus does an alright job. He's not as good because of timing, but I can't think of anything else that could give relevant support. Unless you go with Nefarian, but then you're messing with RNG and BGH range; could be fun to steal Shadowstep or Gang Up off a Rogue, though.
Thanks for the reply. I had to disenchant some golden cards to craft Alex but it was totally worth it... this deck is so much fun :D the explosive sheep + brawl combo works great against Sludge Belcher; an early Deathlord makes Zoo-lock/facehunter crap their pants; I don't have to worry about flamestrike/lightning storm/consecration/explosive trap cause my side of the board is 90% of the times empty :D and overall the winrate is quite high against pretty much all decks... I highly recommend you guys to try it... Great guide.
Taking so much fun with this deck! Explosive Sheep with Whirlwind or putting 3x Iron Juggernaut with Youthful Brewmaster is so exciting! : D
Thank you Slowgod! I juste replaced second Crush for Sylvanas Windrunner cause I didn't had two of them, works well.
Been trying the deck in legend ranks for a few hours.
Do not play it there, it is absolutely awful. I went legend with warrior a few time, I play mill decks as well. This deck is, I am sorry, just not cut for high ranks.
I won 3 games, none with the juggernaut. Lost over 25 and counting, and this is the last day of the season ;)
Good for ladder? No, good god no
Well I haven't lost any games yet with my current version of my druid Taunt City Mango deck :)
Playing this deck against you right now on ladder, lol hi slowgod. Names Failed.
haha yeah, I think you used that Crush to early on my shieldmaiden ;) I've been trying a new KT/shredder warrior which is pretty hit or miss. Have you been having decent luck with this deck? I still plan on playing it and making some tweaks as needed.
It's a fun deck, but if you want a high win rate it just won't cut it.
thanks random internet opinion.
Everytime I play a milldeck I win with 30 health and 20+ armor, sounds like you got really unlucky.
Haha, trust me I know all about bad luck... I go on LOSING streaks with the top voted decks on HP, but I can win with my own decks, probably because they are my own and I hate copying other decks, at least card for card. I love this deck, but if you are trying to rank up to legend ASAP or play quick games or win every game with relative ease, then this is the wrong deck :) I personally enjoy games that are long fought out battles, where even if I lose it was still fun.
bouncing blade could work, but it's really only good if they have a big minion or 2 otherwise it will probably just kill something with 1 health, but still not a terrible option. Or just add Abominations or Sludge Belchers maybe.
Glad you are having luck with it, it definitely has its extremely favored matchups. I was also considering taking out the 9 drops and one Crush for something like dancing swords, owl, tazdingo or belchers. keep me posted on your changes and success :) edit: oh yeah and every deck has Dr. Boom, maybe he has to find his way in here too LOL.
i have a variant of this with no crushes because i find it most matches i don't have damaged minions. I also use Abomination instead of explosive sheep because it is also a taunt. I use grom as a potential closer as well.
Seriously love the concept, sadly, like most mill or late game control decks in this meta 80% of the time you're going to get shafted with the draw. You have to luck out with your draw for the first 4-5 turns for any of the pieces to come together - when they do come together it's glorious, but when they don't it's very underwhelming.
Yeah the aggro is strong, especially that featured minion mage deck... That thing can wreck me no matter what deck I play, then I try playing it and just get the worst possible draws, I just don't have the aggro RNG luck, I rarely ever get an undertaker (worst card in the game) in my hand even. I think this deck is definitely something to work with, i am thinking and experimenting with some lower costing earlier game threats/taunts/silence etc.
Wow. Wasted a lot of dust to craft this deck because it looked fun. If you're thinking of doing it, don't. The deck is just bad. I played it for about 25 games and I fell from rank 10 to about rank 17. The concept is cute, but very often you just don't have enough answers. Usually the opponent just ends up with a full board of minions and you're waiting to draw into brawls. So you're staring down 4 or 5 minions on turn 10 and dropping a single Ysera or Alexstrasza for 9 mana just isn't enough.
EDIT: I'll expand a little more on why this deck is bad. First, your shield slams usually will only do between 3-6 damage because you're going to be getting hit a lot since you won't have board control, or you'll be taking damage from clearing things with weapons. Execute is fine for removal, but once again the target has to have damage, and once again, dealing damage with no board control is not easy. Crush costs 7 mana if you have no board. Everyone is saying you can control the game from turn 5 on because "you'll have tons of health and armor". What? How? The only drops you have up to turn 5 are explosive sheep, coldlight, and Deathlords. If you don't draw them, or they get dealt with effeciently(like a silence), then come turn 5 you're usually at about 19 health with no armor and way behind on the board. That's how most games with this deck go.
Out of those the Brawl probably is the most important, although Alex is well, one of the best cards in the game however I think it will work without her especially if you have Ysera already. I would make the Brawl if you can and put Boom instead of Baron and probably Trogg or Rag instead of Alex. Boom can give you some more board clear similar to Baron in a way and forces your opponent to deal with it right away. I think Trogg could be really good for board control as well (I don't have him so have never been able to try him out.) If you can't afford the brawl right now just go with the Abom in its place I think.
