The Juggermill is real! This deck consistently Crushes all opponents, strong against all classes and I have yet to lose to a hunter! Probably the most fun deck I have ever played with no scripted play style. Depending on the matchup your Youthful Brewmasters can always win the game for you. Return Antique Healbot or Shieldmaiden if you need a health or armor boost, or obviously stack their deck with 2 or 3 Burrowing Mines :) Staying alive and keeping your opponent's board void of minions is quite easy and epic wins ensue!
1st attempt at writing a small little guide:
Against most classes you want to mulligan for Fiery War Axe, Deathlord, Whirlwind, Explosive Sheep, Shield Slam, Execute, Shield Block, or even keep Crush if you have a Deathlord. If I expect aggro and have a weapon and one of these other cards I will keep Brawl.
Against Warrior you are better off with a Death's Bite than a Fiery War Axe so you can 1 shot their Armorsmiths and you also don't really need the lower costing cards. I haven't had too much trouble with warriors, but they seem to be rare right now.
Explosive Sheep is great against Druids since they will usually play an early Shade of Naxxramas other than that any low costing cards are fine, probably keep Shield Block and Shieldmaiden even so you have too much armor for them to combo kill you.
Against Huntards you want Fiery War Axe and Deathlord above everything else, Explosive Sheep and Shield Slam/Shield Block also great keepers.
Zoolock: (same thing as hunters really)
Handlock: sadly easy matchup, I always mulligan for zoo, but if I happen to play a handlock and get Coldlight Oracles I always play them early when the handlock has 8-10 cards in their hand and burn their cards
Mages: same thing as zoo/hunter, but if you happen to play against a freeze/fatigue mage you really can't lose. This milldeck counters other milldecks hard.
Shamans: always keep Brawl Explosive Sheep and any weapon you get
Paladins: Win Axe or Death's Bite, Explosive Sheep, Whirlwind, Brawl
Priest: Usually don't come out with guns blazing, let them draw their cards with their cleric, it helps you win. Just armor up and play very passive until they play something worth killing. BE CAREFUL PLAYING Ysera if you are running her! Maybe don't even risk it until all other options are exhausted!
Rogues are so uncommon right now, just expect mech rogue and keep some low costing cards.
Basic Strategy:
In the early game I often just armor up as much as possible, but kill any major threats like Undertaker and Mechwarper obviously. Dont be afraid to use a Shield Slam or Execute on some piddly little minion, because this deck has enough removal to kill every minion in an entire deck and leave them with nothing.
If you don't get a terrible hand and make it to turn 5/6 without being overwhelmed you start dropping Antique Healbot and Shieldmaiden and by this point zoo is usually out of cards and out of steam and it's an easy win. If your health is still low use one of your Youthful Brewmasters to return the healbot or shieldmaiden to your hand and use it again.
Turn 7/8 I very often combo Brawl with Explosive Sheep or even Coldlight Oracle, you can also just use a Crush for the full mana cost to remove the Dr. Boom or other big turn 7/8 threat they just played.
After this point you just keep their board clear, armor up, Shieldmaiden is usually good for killing something. I always try to save 1 brewmaster for my Iron Juggernaut, but it's not essential to winning. You can put a Burrowing Mine in their deck before or after [card]Alexstrasza[/card] I often keep my coin until turn 8 just for an early Alex. at this point you've probably won, use your oracles and make them run out of cards, you win. If they still have 20+ health and I'm at < 10 I will just use Alex on myself a lot of times because the mines and fatigue damage will kill them anyway. Better off staying alive and making them die slower than risking your own demise!
SEE LATEST EDIT FOR POSSIBLE CHANGE, STILL TESTING!
I was trying to keep it as budget as possible with only 2 legendaries, but if you want to add more, Ysera and Baron Geddon work extremely well. Baron is like a mini brawl that gives you a nice 7/5 body that they have to deal with, combo with sheep for even more destruction! Ysera can also give you a board clear and free minions to drop when your opponent's options are running thin. Or there's always Sylvanas Windrunner and Dr. Boom of course. All good choices depending on preference.
Cheers! Happy Juggermilling!
No problem :) Yeah I think trogg is probably the least optimal choice of the 3, with 5k dust you should totally make Alex though, she is so good in so many decks! Ysera was one of my latest additions and I don't think you NEED her either, but she's one of the coolest cards that's sadly usually to slow for the aggro meta.
Dude, i love this ideia, i once tried a version with Dancing Swords instead Antique Healbot but life gain is important in long games.... If someone lacks any card, I think Dancing Swords a very good substitute...
Yeah I used Dancing Swords originally, great card, not sure where I would squeeze even 1 in the deck right now, but still very possible
Awesome deck!. If only I have Juggernaut *sigh*. Only have enough dust at the moment for 1 legendary and i'm still torn in between jugg, malorne, neptulon, gahzrilla, or malganis. arghh
thanks for the deck. didn't know Warrior can do "mill" as well.
hey slowgod i have a question i dont have BARON what can i take for him abomination maybe??
Yeah I used Abomination in the first version, that works well. Or just Cleave or that 2nd Death's Bite.
This deck isn't really to fatigue your opponent, it's still a heavy control deck with an answer for everything. People complain about all decks being the same, no variety and then they complain about more variety :( MTG had mill decks 20+ years ago just for reference. however this deck isn't so focused on making your opponent overdraw like the Druid decks. I'm also going to experiment with adding A couple more interesting minions for more "interaction" though, thanks for the hate! \m/
Mill decks are a necessarily part of any Card game. MTG has many mill style decks as well. The idea of mill decks is to use the rules and constrictions of the game against the opposing player. That being said, in hearthstone, i dont believe these mill decks will see play in tournaments or true competitive play. My own version of the Mind sweeper warrior deck is viable at all stages of the ladder including legendary, but thats mostly because its not a very common deck and not many people know how to react to this style of play when all the sudden they have 30 potential damage sitting in their deck ready to be drawn out.
You mean by playing more warlocks? :p
Love the Deck also a suggestion as a replacement card which is what i did is to toss in a Baron Gedon. He usually only fits in a Warrior deck but he can clear the board quite well with his passive dealing 2 damage after each turn he can clear the enemy board pretty well as well as coming off 7/5 for a 7 drop, again Baron is not the best card in the world but i have always had him sitting around and found a perfect deck he can go into! Thanks for the deck SlowGod! one love peace!
Yeah I originally had Baron in it (one of my favorite cards in control warrior actually) and then I made it only have the 2 most important legendaries for the deck, but I've been thinking about adding him back in place of the cleave... I think I will give that a try actually :) What did you take out for him?
Thanks!
Haha, didn't played my self but saw a friend playing it and i laughed so hard it's a really good deck. keep up the good work man ;)
Btw sorry for my bad english
Thanks :)
so tell me what is your begin play card lol none you dont even have begin cards 2 play sheep dont work and coldlight dont work again agro mech decks you help them even more with those given cards so no begin play at all thats why its a really abd deck
Thanks for the triple post that says the same thing, maybe you are just a really "abd" player? to answer your brilliant question; Fiery War Axe, Cleave, Deathlord, Sheep, Shield Block, Shield Slam, Execute, Crush (with deathlord)
I made an account just to post on this deck....
Most fun deck I've played in a long time.
Tried playing this as well as the noxious version that he played on stream for a while, just doesn't seem to work.
I had some success at first with the noxious version but I guess I was just getting lucky draws or something. Sad, I really like the idea of using iron juggernaut in this way but it really seems like more of a "for fun" strategy than a competitive one.
It can definitely work, most games take a lot of patience and timing. I made it a lot more budget effective, but I'm still experimenting with adding more firepower. I think a card like Ysera that doesn't see much play anymore works really well in this deck because you are able to get to turn 9 with lots of health and armor usually.
Glad you like it... an early axe and shield slams or the sheep are good against hunters. If you can healbot on turn 5 and shieldmaiden turn 6 or use abomination you should be ok. Could probably take out baron and or crush for something early like another sheep, whirlwind or cleave
