Updated based on some suggestions from R1vereye
So the premise of this deck is to kill (7) Elwyn Boars and earn the sword of a thousand truths. This takes some time. In order to buy that time I loosely combined this with the Thief Rogue archetype. How I get the boars needed I use the Northshire Farmer. The quickest way is to play your first boar than the farmer which will put (3) copies in your deck. Vanish the farmer and repeat. That's it now you have (8) boars at your disposal. Now you want to pull them out of your deck as fast as possible. I use sprint, smoke screen, and sketchy information. Run your typical thief rogue and finish your opponent off with the sword of a thousand truth.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Valid maybe, but garbage comments like the one DanCorsi madw just aren't necessary.
To the OP, great deck man. I've been really enjoying it. Don't own Shadowcrafter Scabbs so i replaced it with one copy of Academic Espionage for further thief shenanigans. Cheers mate!
Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Thanks for chasing fun, my friend. I understand that the goal is to have fun rather than climbing the ladder here, but I have some general suggestions that may help to make the WR close to 50%, which would be more fun.
Firstly, swift scale trickster is the core of the thief rogue. Without it, the jackpot is a meaningless card.
I think parrley is a really situational card, even in thief rogue. If you need more drawing, use more flexible cards like SI:7 Extortion or Blackwater Cutlass. Both are overall much better.
The dinner performer does not belong to this deck. Its only usage would be to cheat out some strong early drops, which is not really your play style. Plus, you have a high chance to mess with your battlecries.
Double Agent is pointless without secrets. Sketchy information is a bad card draw. I would strongly recommend adding shroud of concealment and serrated bone spikes.
I would get rid of greedy cards like Brann and hench clan burglar and add direct damage (like wicked stabs) where you can close out games if you can’t find your combo, or contest with hyper aggro boards.
Good luck :)
First of all thank you so much for the input! I really do appreciate it. Just a couple of things I would point out about my thought process. Pulling out the boars as quickly as possible was my main concern with this deck. The thief archetype is secondary and simply there to buy time. I listed a few things below that would seem to counter my objective.
1. The dinner performers use is simply to pull out the boars. I use her when it will leave 1 mana and than she summons a boar. (typically). The swash burglar is the only other one mana minion which is problematic at times.
2. Double Agents bonus is triggered by cards from another class rather than secrets.
3. Sketchy information is to pull out the boars since the boars are the only death rattles in the deck so it has a 100% chance.
4. Brann coupled with dinner performer increases the amount of boars pulled out.
Your last point is definitely something this deck lacks if I'm not able to summon the sword. Would you have any ideas on how to pull the boars out quickly without sacrificing direct damage?
Thanks again!
I made a couple updates. Let me know what you think. "Sword of a Thousand Truths Rogue V2"
Thank you.
nevermind, edited
Not every deck here can be tier 1. Some decks get votes because they are fun to play. this is one of them.
True, but they never said it wasn't fun, just bad, which is valid.
Thank you. It is a fun deck. That's the main reason I play. I'm not a competitive gamer chasing legendary. I thought others might enjoy it as well which is why I shared it. I really don't mind criticism but I would prefer it with reasoning and suggestions on how to improve.
PofShit. Really bad deck.
Right on. I'm pretty new to the game. Would you happen to have any suggestions on what is making it so bad or is that too much to ask of such a fine word smith like yourself?
