As a priest fan and player, I can say that Questline Control Priest is too slow for this meta and in case you win you'll most probably do it before having completed the quest. So, why having to play cards in particular order with no turn value, instead of playing your deck based on what is needed to counter each opponent? In case you love Priest and you are an experienced (Control) Priest player, you should give this deck a try, as it seems a quite viable Priest version in the current meta.
I have a winrate of 69% with this deck and it took me from diamond 5 to legend, where I have been stuck for a long time trying different (non-meta) decks and classes. Worst matchups seem to be Questline Warlocks and Mages, in case they go too fast with their quests and you are unable to steal their quest minion with Illucia. In general, it has chances and counters against almost every deck of the current meta, but you need to be very careful, not so greedy with your spells and minions value and weigh well your decisions depending on your opponent's deck and needs.

I appreciate your response. Thank you.
not a bad deck but not great either. control is just in a bad spot right now. this loses to all quest mages , quest warlocks hard. it still beats some rouge and druid, but only vs poor quality players. im barely keeping a plus 50% vs legend players right now......56% so far.....I guess taht will have to do considering the meta.....It sure does better than Quest Priest right not!! LOL
so if your lucky enought like the OP was , to get tons of good matchups, then its a good deck. But if you face a regular meta, its a tough climb....def a deck for experienced players.....thx for sharing!!
Hello mate and thanks for your response and feedback. I agree on almost everything you wrote. As I have already pinpointed, this deck has really tough time with Quest Warlock and Quest Mages, especially if you do not manage to steal their Quest minion through Illucia (very difficult to achieve this against experienced players). But which control deck doesn't have tough time with above two deck types?
When I posted the guide, I had a winrate of 69%. Now, it's dropped to ~61% for a lot of reasons (less careful plays after reaching legend, more experienced opponents, bad luck, bad matchups etc). But my point is that it is a Control Priest version (for Priest fans) which could be viable in this brainless face meta. Of course, it requires a lot of experience with this archetype and class in order to have positive results with it.
If you have any proposals to make this deck more viable and competitive in the current meta, please let me know. :)
Hey man.. the deck is pretty good. I recently posted video of frustrate priest and works well, I am sure this does too. I too don't run questline.

Thank you bro, hope you do well with this deck, too! :)
Its just a some-minions+some-spells-Priest

Yes... and it is kinda working for me. Thx for the post ;)
@Phoesias, Isn't this the real strength of Control Priest? Try to defend yourself and discover ways to resist opponent's pressure, especially in this aggro/face/brainless meta?
It's surely not a meta-breaker deck, but I think it's a pretty consistent Control Priest version that has chances against almost every deck in this meta.
@Ohmaaan, nice to hear this bro. I hope you continue having good results with this deck!
Yeah someone else posted this deck, it's pretty much "frustrate" priest. Good job on your run to legend you must be a really good player to win consistently with priest! Oh and what's Bloodmage Thalnos for? I don't get it.
Can you or someone else post a video showing some gameplay? That would be awesome.
Bloodmage Thalnos could maybe be replaced by some other value/discover (or draw) card, especially if you don't owe it, there is no reason to craft it for this deck. I just have it in my deck because I lack cards draw plus he can help destroying powerful early minions (e.g Kolkar Pack Runner) with Holy Smite.
Regarding the video, I usually do not record my games due to connection instabilities and no experience on the field. If the deck gets more attention and interest, maybe I could try and have some demonstration games recorded.
Cool I guess, I'm doing well with it but loses to mass aggro unless you have great draws. That give adjacent minions minions +1/+1 card all these greedy aggro decks are running is destroying me. Check your PM.
For all these annoying ultra aggro decks, I usually try hard for Holy Smite, Serena Bloodfeather, Hysteria, The Nameless One (in case you expect some special ability or buffed minion) and Desperate Player plus Xirella combo. Secondary, I would go for Far Watch Post (to delay them a bit), Renew for extra healing and maybe a useful discovered card to help defending and maybe Rustrot Viper, in case you expect some powerful weapon from your opponent (e.g. Aggro Shamans, Handbuff Paladins and Questline Warlocks).
PS: I just checked and haven't received any PM in my inbox. :S
