It can be good, especially that this can get into combo with velen coming back. It's pretty important that this is 0 mana and with Auchenai Soulpriest this is damage.

Posted Feb 20, 2021 (Vol'jin Patch)Unless you mean Wild, there are no Auchenai Soulpriest type effects in Standard, and I think Blizzard's making a point not to print any more of that type of effect, so that's not really a thing.
I contest your claim that "nobody played Mistress of Mixtures for the 2/2 body". Being playable as a 2/2 turn 1 to fight for the board was quite a big deal.
