You no take candle...OR CAST SPELL

Before the GvG release, I LOVED the concept of Counterspell, and I noticed that if you didn't play around it properly, it would cause this huge interruption in the opponents thought process  and tempo. So I thought, hey, what if you built a deck around Counterspell? of course, this was also pre-Naxx, so I didn't even have Loatheb to work with. All I had was that one combo that everyone thinks of.

Hey? What if I played Millhouse Manastorm then Lorewalker Cho?

About ten seconds later I realized that would do VERY little for me.

But now, we have so much more to work with. With the introduction of two specific cards, Mage can now be amazing against spells as well as with them.

First, we have Wee Spellstopper. Fun thing about these guys, if you put one next to another, NEITHER can be targeted by spells. Theoretically. Put in a taunt or two, and you're invincible!

Then we have Burly Rockjaw Trogg, who benefits from your opponent casting spells. The fun thing about the synergy between this and Counterspell: If your opponent casts a spell, and you counter it, they still cast it, and the Trogg still gets +2 attack.

Of course, you can only have so much counters to spells before MINIONS become a problem. At this, I decided to take slight inspiration from the popular freeze mage. You see, if your opponents minions are frozen, they don't as do much. That being said, I may have been a little excessive with freeze. Instead of Blizzard, you should put in a Flamestrike.

Hold on just one minute. Why is Elite Tauren Chieftain in here? Oh yeah, it was pretty late last night. But if you think about it, since you are countering all your opponentsspells, why not the one you give them? But seriously? Run another Sludge Belcher, you need the taunt.

Antique Healbot is pretty important, because your minions can't be targeted by spells, so eventually, YOUR FACE will be.

Loatheb is good. Your opponent needs to pay more to cast spells that Fizz

Finally, special Mention goes to Troggzor the Earthinator. He will benefit the most from spells.

Please, try out the deck, and let me know what you think.
