Sorry for my english...

Edit : change the title, the WR is slighty worst right now that meta begin to be settled

Hi guys, here is my attempt to make the best even rogue possible, with a little touch of pirate (but not too much)

It works really well on ladder actually (rank 5 to 3, 15W 3L) (no proofs, but if this guide is successful, maybe i consider to give some).

The idea behind the list is to abuse of Spirit of the Shark, like good old Brann Bronzebeard, with the great advantage to play him 2x times. The consistency is way better, but maybe you think the loss of tempo is too much ?

This why I play it i even rogue with a small pirate package. The hero power must be played aggressively and Bloodsail Raider and our new friend Sharkfin Fan give you the time to play the spirit and regain the tempo loss at turn 5, which needs to be a big power play turn.

Thx to Tommy Wave who have make a great video (not really successfull but some mistakes were made :p)

Cards explanations :

2x Backstab : No need to explain, best tempo card in the game.

1x Shadowstep : Just 1x, you can't be too greedy. All battlecries are ok with it, but you can sometimess use it on Sharkfin Fan after attacks, to reserve it for a big  Cannon Barrage

1x Preparation : Like Shadowstep, 1x is good enough, you don't have so much big spells.

1x Eviscerate : Good for cleaning, good for face. 2x is a possibility, but i prefer to use more minions for the synergy with Defender of Argus

2x Sharkfin Fan : Your early game best friend against aggro, part of your win condition vs control. Don't forget, you can deal 9 damages with Cannon Barrage just with one fan  (and a weapon equipped) Again, it synergyses perfectly with argus.

2x Bloodsail Raider : Stapple in all even rogue, turn 2 3/3 for 2 mana without downside is just insane. Little synergy with Spirit of the Shark, wich sometimes be usefull to trade 4 health minions.

1x Acidic Swamp Ooze : Because Hunters, because Druids, because Rogues and classic aggressive stat vs all the rest.

Bloodmage Thalnos : Cycle, help your damage spells, can begin the chain of drawing spiders on your opponent's turn.

2x Novice Engineer : 1st surprise card in the deck, good cycle, great with spirit, help for combos if shadowsteped before.

2x Lifedrinker : Insane with spirit, gives you lot of health and burst your opponent hardly. Win condition sometimes.

2x Saronite Chain Gang : Protects yourself, protects your shark, protects your pirates. Makes your opponent cry if he's not a warlock.

2x Fal'dorei Strider : If the soul of this deck is Spirit of the Shark, Strider is the heart. You need these spiders to put pressure and make your argus great (again). When your spirit is on board turn 6, and you smash faldorei followed by Novice Engineer, it feel so good :)

2x Elven Minstrel : draw 2 is not enough, wanna draw 4 :)

2xWalk the Plank : Hard removal, a bit meh but necessary to clean big minions. I tried to replace them by Sap, not convinced in this meta.

Genn Greymane : Well, obviously needed but in this deck, his aggressive stats makes him a bit better than expected when topdecked.

Mojomaster Zihi : Love this girl, rewards good players who will know when to play it ideally.

And finally 1x Cannon Barrage : The new toy that blizzard give to us, Rogue players. A good toy, but a bit dangerous because you want to build arround to make wombo combo and face damage 2x pts... but it's not viable imho. It can sticks your hand really long time and pirates are not good enough in this meta to build around with consistency. You have to consider it like a druid card with "choose one", clear the board, or broach you opponent and sometimes, end the game. Again, a rewarding card for good players.

Match-up :

To soon in the new meta, can just say I am  4w-2L hunters, 3w-0L druids and loose 1 vs Odd control mage (hero power gives us hard time)

Like all midrange/tempo decks, you're a bit behind against control, ahead vs combo but vs aggro, I think you compete very well thanks to pirates, saronite and argus.

The problem is that now, archetypes do not mean much anymore. For example when you see hunters spell, they are all in one,..

Cards replacement :

Waiting for your returns ...
