Intro

Hi all, I'm Phaneron. A casual EU player that has never reached Legend Rank. Ever.  I did! And still loves the game! Mostly here to save decks I love playing and making "Johnny" decks work.

I been trying to put together a combo deck that works a bit less gimmicky than the Fool's Bane + Heroic Strike + Mayor Noggenfogger combo on enemy minions (and then praying to RNGesus to hit face.) Or Kripparian's version of a legendary weapon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7fneepdKy

Gameplay

Instead, this combo relies on having 3 cards: Molten Blade and 2 x Heroic Strike. The bonus being that you have a chance of getting legendary weapons as well each turn you wait.

In short, this deck is for boys and girls who:

  1. Wanna have fun
  2. Like combo decks
  3. Can get their satisfaction from hitting their opponent in the face. With a weaponFor 22-26 damage!

It's not an expensive deck (see card subs below) and runs basically the same shell as the old Worgen OTK deck with 1 extra copy of Brawl. The MVP of this deck (well technically not from this deck) and the one you should equip once your Molten Blade turns into it and you're sure your opponent cannot remove it, is:

It makes the deck somewhat inconsistent, risky, insane, basically a miracle deck. Then again, the trade-off is amazing:

That'll be 2 x 12 damage please.

Substitute Cards

You can always exchange Bloodmage Thalnos for a Loot Hoarder. I just like to have the extra spell damage every now and then.  (Extra swag cost: 1560 dust)

Hobart Grapplehammer, Naga Corsair, Grimestreet Pawnbroker, ToxicologistOrgrimmar Aspirant or even a Spiteful Smith if you do not like swag, are all possible. They can be subbed for Upgrade! if you just a weapon buff without the option to play it as a 1/3 on turn 1.

Mulligan

I usually go for some anti-aggro stuff like Upgrade!, Blood Razor or Inner Rage. Against aggro your only goal is to survive.

Forge of Souls is a good keep vs control. Make sure they burn their weapon removal on your non-essential weapons. You also want to get your combo faster enough, so combining some cheap spells with Wild Pyromancer and Acolyte of Pain on board will help you draw into your win condition. Just make sure you get at least 2 draws from your acolytes.

Turn 2 can usually be overcome with a hero power, which you should weave in as much as possible, since you need quite a few rounds to get to your pieces and enough mana to use them. Never keep combo pieces in your opening hand!

A key card for survival in general is Armorsmith. Try to combo it with as many AoE and friendly minions as possible if you want to beef up your hero. Against agro you could throw it out fast, but it's potential in armor gain is pretty nuts when you can use it in a turn where you trade with minions on board combined with a Wild Pyromancer and Commanding Shout. Against control you should always try and get as much armor as possible, since the game will probably last longer.

Any tips are most welcome :) Thanks for reading and have fun
