Very weak deck in current meta.Tried to use it to complete "win 3 games as mage quest" but was getting lose after lose.
Then made mage deck consisting only of board clears/face damage spells and no minions and it performed better than this one. LOL
Awesome deck! I went from 15 to 5. I just lost 3 match so far.
I run the full deck, but I replaced Aluneth for Bloodmage Thalnos
0% wintrate in 10 games lul
I believe you only need to add <BUDGET> in the deck title to get upvotes...
Do you think that a 1420 dust deck with 0 copies of epic cards or a single legendary is not a budget deck? WTF!?
I run a Budget deck similar to this but I run 2x Primordial glyphs, 1x polymorph, and 1x Lifedrinker over the Loot hoarders, Acolyte, and celestial emissary, would you all consider this a budget deck still? It is sitting at 2100 dust and I have been trying it out on the ladder recently but I was thinking about trading out the Primordial Glyph for 2 Astral rifts for 2 random minions because most of the time 2 minions for 2 is pretty solid, even if they are random and this deck needs something cheaper in the deck.
Do you think that this deck would run well with Astral Rift over Primordial Glyph?
Alternatively you can just say you took Apxvoid's list, replaced luna, the weapon and the glyphs with two classic draw cards for control decks (acolytes and loot hoarders) which serve a completely different purpose because when you search for damage those cards are too slow and you'll end up losing the game.
You better add research project and use it only as an extra chance to topdeck a fireball/frostbolt so you can finish the game. Also you need lifedrinkers, they combine a 3/3 body and an extra frostbolt. Also, nobody cares about their healing in tempo mage.
Not recommended in the current meta.
Edit: To clarify, even with a few replacements (Glyph, Thalnos which I'm surprised not to see in the potential replacements), it is auto-lose against basically anything but aggro. There's so much armor gain going on right now, and a decent number of control/combo decks, plus it doesn't match up well (depending on RNGeesus) against deathrattle hunter/rogue, which are definitely a thing.
That said, if you're facing a bunch of aggro, it's got some answers and can come on pretty strong if you get lucky and pull the right amount of card draw and your combo pieces (Mana Wyrm is key as usual). It is also probably a good bit better with Luna/Aluneth, but then if you've got those you're well on your way to a better decklist anyway.
This is actually true I didn't think of that, I was thinking about adding astral rift for some minions but this one has potential. The issue is against other aggro decks you are just fueling their fire and they can over-run you and control decks can draw more board controls. Still a decent thought though.
Archmage Arugal ?? Are you nuts? Half of the deck is spells, he has serious anti-synergy and as a 2/2 he won't live a turn anyway... Not recommended in this deck at all.
Pyroblast andArchmage Antonidas are great in this deck, Acolyte of Pain is also good. IMO Archmage Arugal is not that good in this deck, but if you have good results with him let him stay.
Another strong budget list from the master! Feels like this deck, even with the more 'budget' cards, has some really strong match-ups. We saw a few in the games we played with it, check them out;
(Games start at 3:26)
I was dubious on the Loot Hoarders but they made fantastic proactive plays on turn 2. Any thought to getting some more reach in the list, maybe a Rocketeer or two instead of the Acolyte of Pain? Would love to get your thoughts!
As always, cheers and thanks!
Yeah, but you can counter druid if you manage to go seconed and then play counterspell, it can really mess things up for druid if he tries to ramp or gain armor. also kirin into an explosive trap can be devestating for aggro deecks so I think this deck can work against them if it gets a good start.
