Hi :-)

Here is the deck I used to defeat in a single try the Curator. Great news, it is free to play (F2P), it only uses standard card, and it works well!

Overview of the boss

The curator acts as a taunt, meaning that you cannot trade his minion. The main point is that the Curator runs aggressive cards, and if you do not play taunt minions on your side, you risk to die before him!

About the Curator's deck

There are few points to know about the Curator's deck:

  • There are few AoE like Lightning Storm and Arcane Missiles meaning that minions with low HP are likely to die.
  • Its main DPS source is the combo Dust Devil and Raid Leader
  • The curator does not draw a lot. It means that one you have cleared its board, you should easily win.
  • The Curator has no silence nor removal. If you manage to get a big taunt minions, you should win.

Strategy and tricks

The hardest part is to reach T7+ to put your big dragons. To do so you need to draw your AoE in the mid game. Our deck runs the combo Inner Fire and Divine Spirit that you would ideally cast on a taunt minion. But because the Curator has no removal and draws slowly, it is not a win condition. Basically, you win once you control the board with big taunts.

  • T1-T3: You cannot trade, but your spell can still target enemy's minions. If the early game is tricky, you could sacrifice an Inner Fire on your minion (e.g. Lightwell) to make them act as a soft taunt.
  • T4-T6: Cast your AoE Duskbreaker and Holy Nova when there are several minions on the Curator's board. Do not forget that the combo Northshire Cleric and Holy Nova allows you to draw a lot.
  • T7+: At this time you should be able to cast your big dragon and let the Curator empale its minion on them. You mostly have to heal your taunt and boost them with your spells.

Mulligan

  • Small minions
  • AoE

Replacements

  • The main rule is : try to do not decrease too much your ratio of dragons (to be able to trigger Duskbreaker battlecry) and taunt (to survive!). In that sense I think that Primordial Drake is very important in this deck.
  • Shadow Visions is here to make the deck more consistent and be more flexible, but could be probably replaced. Kabal Talonpriest is not so bad to improve your taunts minions, Divine Hymn could also be nice.
  • There are many other taunts minions that could fit in this deck, e.g. Rotten Applebaum, Witchwood Grizzly, etc.

If you enjoyed this deck and/or if it helped you to defeat the Curator, do not hesitate to upvote :-)

Good luck!
