1st time to legend with this deck. From Rank 10 to Legend roughly 70% WR.
I had some dust from the nerfs and Hunter is my lowest wins on ranked so I decided to try this out. Crafted a spell and the weapon and my first game was really fun! I normally play rogue and mage so this was a bit different and I misplayed a lot but I was able to win due to a grievous misplay of my opponent. As a new "Spell" Hunter player, what are some general tips on playing the deck? The secrets rock for a lot of different types of decks.
play cards
thats it, gg
Honestly, I would watch Kripparian's videos on youtube, he made legend with the deck recently and has outlined the deck in a few videos. His list is pretty similar and I also recently made legend with it, so it should be a good start
Well I normally mully for secrets and the spellstone, cos playing 12/12 worth of stats on turn 5 is nutty regardless of the matchup. Against control, you aggro, against aggro, you control. You have surprising balance between defense and pressure - use that to your advantage, flipping roles when your opponent least expects it. Also, extracting value out of your Eaglehorn Bow is more potent than you'd think - prioritise setting it up when your opponent leaves secrets alone. Against control decks, consider not Deathstalker Rexxar-ing to maintain that constant lethal pressure - I'd recommend against it though if either you're behind on hand size by a lot or they have 15 or more health. Against aggro at low ranks, the games should play themselves if you mully right, but in higher ranks they start to do wierd shit to counterplay your secrets. I'd try to mindgame them in this situation and play secrets they don't expect so they get punished for making suboptimal plays to play around something that doesn't exist. This takes practice though, cos it can easily backfire, but you'll get the hang of it.
That's all I could think of considering I've been playing mostly even shaman post nerf, hopefully that helped though :)
