About me and this deck
Hey everyone. If you don't know me (which you most likely don't), I'm a free to play player on hearthstone that makes (somewhat efficient) cheap decks that you can climb rank 15 with --- Possibly higher. This is the Midrange version of Hunter that I've been finding a lot of success with on the first day of the expansion. So far I'm 6-1(85% winrate) and it helped me go from rank 20 to rank 17.
Update 1: After playing for an hour or 2 I went 11-1 and hit rank 15. There you have it guys, if you're aiming for rank 15 then just play this cheap ass deck and collect your free wins. Make sure you read my choices for mulligans, because as I like to say "MULLIGANS WIN GAMES". But they really do. Seriously. Pay attention to them.
Update 2: I'll have to do some more testing later today (I've been pretty busy). Didn't expect to get so many views on this deck in the first place. Just wanted to share my own success. In general the deck seems weak to cubelock and certain aggro decks according to people who have commented on this guide. The first day of the expansion, I beat elemental mages and a lot of Paladin odd decks (I think 3 or 4). I also beat a shudderwock shaman and a few low tier decks. For now I've only faced one cubelock and got lucky when their voidlord was discarded (I won that one). Thanks for all of the upvotes! Have a nice day everyone. Sidenote: I will be working on a non-budget Dire Frenzy deck and testing it. Should be up in the next few days and I’ll link it here. There has been mixed success on the ladder. If you are struggling to win with this deck at higher ranks, please try this one (if you have the legendaries). I've been play testing it and so far have gone 5-2. https://www.metabomb.net/hearthstone/deck-guides/midrange-hunter-deck-list-guide-hearthstone-50.
Update 3: Alright so I've played a few more games and managed to get rank 12 with Deathstalker Rexxar instead of Bonemare. This is the highest rank I've ever achieved! Thanks for the support everyone :). Thank you guys so much for 500 upvotes! I had no idea this deck would get so much attention .-. I've also posted a second midrange hunter deck. I'm still in the process of refining it. You can check it out here https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1099475-dire-frenzy-buff-hunter-4-0
Overview
Let me start off by explaining the idea of this deck. It aims to build a board and quickly eliminate your opponent while simultaneously buffing your beast cards and using removals to swing the board in your favor. Dire Frenzy, Houndmaster, and Bonemare all make your Beasts BEEFIER. Eaglehorn Bow, Candleshot, Wing Blast, Kill Command, and Hunter's Mark serve as your board control. Finally, for strong early game you have cards like Dire Mole, Jeweled Macaw, Crackling Razormaw and Scavenging Hyena. Welp, that's basically it. If you want in depth explanations of the key cards keep reading.
Special thanks to Kiwiinbacon for his deck spotlight
All Arounder (Whitebeard)'s deck spotlight :)
Key Cards
Dire Frenzy: Holy crap this card is good. It's quickly becoming one of my favorites of the expansion. You can buff your Savannah Highmane for insane value, Tundra Rhino for those 5 mana 5 attack FACE HITS, and that Scavenging Hyena that's already a 10/7.
Candleshot: Really really flexible in pretty much any situation. This is your go to mulligan for aggro matches because it's INCREDIBLE at removing low health minions. You can also play this in tandem with Hunter's Mark for a pretty sick combo to kill almost any minion. The best part? It's only 1 mana.
Wing Blast: I find myself using this a lot more than I thought I would. It's really good if you just want to trade in something like Dire Mole or Jeweled Macaw and then kill something (A big taunt or high value minion). Along with Kill Command and both Eaglehorn Bow and Candleshot with Hunter's Mark, you can remove pretty much any minion in the game with this deck.
Note: The rest of the cards in the deck are pretty standard inclusions. I just wanted to highlight a few in order to give you what I think are the most important cards in the deck
Mulligans
Against Control you want: Hunter's Mark, sometimes [card]Wing Blast/card]
Against Aggro you want: Unleash the Hounds, Candleshot
Substitutions:
Replace Bonemare with Deathstalker Rexxar if you have it. The reason for this being that it generates nearly ifinite value and also brings a valuable board clear along with it. It's generally a fantastic card and I'm definitley contemplating crafting it myself. If you decide to try this, please let me know how it turns out :).
Thanks for reading ^-^
No seriously, even if you don't upvote I'm glad you checked out this deck. If you read this far, congratulations. Be sure to comment how it works for you and I can attempt to make adjustments. Please remember to keep the criticism constructive, as this is one of my first decks I've posted on Hearthpwn. Have a fantastic day everyone! May RNJesus be with you all.
Although I'm not the best player, I'm still really enjoying this deck. Thanks for creating this!
is there any updates to this deck? I really like playing with this deck and I'd like to see which boosday cards would join to this deck
Not bad deck... if you don´t face odd paladin. In that case, save time: better concede and try another opponent.
Do you have any recommendations for additional card swaps to enhance this deck?
Really enjoying this deck, it's part of the reason I'm still enjoying Hearthstone after resisting playing it for years. As a beginner it gives a nice set of tools to make up for its lower cost.
yeah this Yeah this deck is hot garbage. 0/4 off the bad. It runs out of steam real fast.
Loving this deck. Testing it fresh for a new month. Only lost 1 game so far to a Shaman.
imo this deck is really fun for casual play when using deathstalker rexxar.
This deck isn't working for me, it's just bad.
I've been using this deck lately and here's my few cents about this deck in my experience:
This deck lack of board clearing card, if you meet paladin or shaman who spams minion then your chance of winning is very low. I suggest to remove 1 of each weapon and use card like Grievous Bite or Explosive Shot
Also, this deck is really really depending on your early draw. If you cant build up your minions before turn 6 then your chance of winning is super low. Try to end the game before turn 8 (or deal a lot of damage to face) because if the enemy is stalling the game then you 100% lose.
All in all, I got 60% wr using this deck
I did a face deck inspired by this one. I'm getting far more sucess on my poor rank 20/19, for F2P players.

This was my take on building out for mid-range. I took some pointers from what you posted, and modified them to what I try to do. Please give it a shot and let me know how it works for you.
54% winrate... it's too low to even try it.
Okay. I need to know why some HS players call Standard "Standart". some sort of meme or what?
Hey, guys,
Nothing to brag about, but I did a short Deck Showcase Video of this deck on my small gaming channel. If you're interested, you can check it out here:)

Thanks for the great deck, I've been having fun with it!
54% WR is quite accurate. You have to grind like hell to even move up a few stars but Dire Frenzy is crazy good. Turns out you can target opponent BEASTS (cough Queen Carnassa cough) and have three copies of them in YOUR deck. Granted you have a way of getting rid of your opponent's buffed up beast. But damn this card's good.
The idea of the deck is solid, typical midrange with a lot of removal for midgame board control, but the problem is a lot of the top decks mid to late game require that you have solid board presence or be in a specific position in which it's effective is bad against decks that have things like tar creeper or doomsayer that shut down tempo. Having 2x of cards like hunters mark, crackling razor maw, scavenging hyena, dire frenzy, wing blast, hound master, and 1x bonemare leaves barely room for any basic body cards that contest such as bittertide hydra, cave hydra, bearshark, or anything that provides basic value which then can benefit off of your combo cards.
I feel this decklist requires too much basis on early game tempo without contest from the opponent and then having the ability to clear anything that comes mid to late game, however, even if this is the case, meta decks such as odd/even paladin out tempo this deck because of the aforementioned problems as well as just better earlygame. Burn mage can burst down your hero whilst removing pressure with doomsayer and tar creeper. This deck has no cards that can counter cubelock's insane ability to get incredible value better than hunters mark, which even then barely stops the next trillion or so void lords. Granted, hunter doesn't have good tech against cubelock(and I can't find how to get ironbeak owl into my hunter decklists), the problem still remains that this deck doesn't have much chance of getting past rank 15 in this current meta. Any ideas how to fix this without spending 8k dust?
Yeah. It was more of an early meta cheese deck that kind of slipped its way through the ranks. It probably still works really well at lower ranks but after rank 15 I'd assume it starts to even out and fall off a bit. By the time you get rank 10 you should be sitting at around 50% winrate and it did exactly what I intended for it to do, get other free to play players to around rank 15 (if played correctly).
This deck has serious issues running out steam.
