I've been playing this deck at rank 1 and doing about 50%, I'm also just learning what other decks are out there and my decision making would be a lot different if I wasn't going in blind.
Vex Crow ..... I honestly haven't had this card be much of a factor in any of the games I have played (about 10 or so). Am I missing something? I am doing surprisingly well considering the one card this is supposed to be based around hasn't done much. I am debating even removing it, however I am not certain which card to put in.... I haven't gone up against much aggro .. so perhaps that is where ol vexy comes into play?
Vex Crow really shines against Paladin and can still be very valuable in all other matchups. Crow + Coin + Mirror Image on turn four will stop many Palys dead, and it's really there to buy time. It's a tempo play to make your opponent spend a turn or two dealing with it. If they can't kill it, you're just going to build another board next turn and two drops are way more sturdy than the 1/1s you get from a Violet Teacher or a Paladin's Silver Hand Knights.
One thing I learned is that your want to use your minions to push face as much as possible. Let your opponent trade into you. You want to get your opponent down low enough that you can just burn through them in turns 8 - 10. Your big tools for this are the Mana Worms, your Crows and face damage from Kirin Tor Mages. A lot of people have said they don't understand why Antonidas is in the deck, but if you can guarantee one or two fireballs in your hand on turn 7-8, he's done his job. If you haven't sealed a win with burn damage by turn ten, your chances of winning are very grim.
Arcane Explosion +2
- Antonidas, Pyroblast
Vex Crow, you can go to *@#!ing hell. Literally, 5 games straight, I "randomly" get Doomsayer. Never will I ever put that nightmare card back into any of my decks.
yeah. yeah.
I am in love with this deck. I was hoping Aluneth wouldn't lose its mojo after some cards cycled out of standard. The fast pace hasn't been lost and this has late game potential as well.
Because there are a ton of control in the game right now, Archmage Antonidas has saved me many times.
I dont know if this deck works for everyone in the curent meta. Yes he is good, if you are lucky, otherwise you will pray for a card like Aluneth for example and without Ice Block, you're exposed to danger.
I'm not a veteran but this is my opinion.
People actually believe crow is a good card xD
But it really is haha
nvm you probably play cubelock or paladin allg
only good in arena
constructive .duskbreaaker hellfire good bye
this is a deck and not a card -.- "only good in arena" is like "I like the gold cards"... a sentence that don't have anything to do with the deck in the end....
Solely Mage class cards. Impressive.
with all due respect Trump, you can do better than that. deck is too slow and the winrate is awful.
Since when is 59% too low?
59%???? after a total of how many games? and at what rank? is it for all rank range?
Having horrible luck with this deck :( loss after loss after loss
Mana wyrm on turn 1 makes a huge difference
