Started the season at rank 6. Got to rank 5 with control warlock. Created this deck at rank 5. Few nights of playing this and hit legend. Second time getting legend and second legendary deck I am posting on hearthpwn.
Mulligan vs control : Alleycat, Dire Mole, Crackling Razormaw, Animal Companion, Eaglehorn Bow. The way I beat most control decks was to go face and beat them as quickly as possible. When it ended up going late game vs control, Deathstalker Rexxar with build-a-beast could win the game for you. You can craft beasts with abilities like charge, stealth, silence, lifesteal, posionous, adapt, battlecries and more. The built beasts also obviously combo well with Crackling Razormaw, Kill Command, and Tundra Rhino.
Versus control I would not keep Tracking, any secrets, Kindly Grandmother (gets countered hard by priest and usually isn't enough damage early on vs control), Unleash the Hounds, Kill Command, Lesser Emerald Spellstone (also gets countered hard by control decks with cards like Hellfire and Duskbreaker), Tundra Rhino, Savannah Highmane, or Deathstalker Rexxar.
Mulligan vs Aggro : Alleycat, Dire Mole, Crackling Razormaw, Explosive Trap, Kindly Grandmother, Wandering Monster, Animal Companion, Eaglehorn Bow, Lesser Emerald Spellstone, Deathstalker Rexxar are all excellent picks vs aggro decks. Sometimes I may keep Snake Trap if I have Wandering Monster and/or Lesser Emerald Spellstone. You must almost always try to keep control of the board to win matchups vs aggro.
Feel free to comment on or ask questions about the deck.
+1 if you like the deck.
Thank you for your interest and support!
Here are some videos of players from the community playing this deck. They should give you an idea of how the deck can play out.

Gotta have the Kara cards. I was playing a similar deck without them and couldn't climb past rank 19. I swapped them in and shot up to rank 16, I am confirmed doggo shit player, I've been playing less than 3 months and have never been good at strategy based games. Kara cards are OP and great value.
Hello!
First of all thank you for the deck. I love it so far. However I have a few questions.
I usually lose hard when I face an aggro mage or warlock. What would your approach be towards this match up? Which cards would you prefer to go with at the start?
And also when would you try going for Rexxxar at turn 6? Or do you usually save it until the late game to apply pressure with face damage as much as you can?
Thanks!
For Warlocks, you usually want to mulligan the low cost minions first especially 1-cost ones because it'll be much harder for you to keep the pressure in the next turns. I find that there is only one way to beat them and that is to simply go for the face. And I wouldn't go for Rexxxar almost never for Warlocks because they well outscale you post turn 6.
On what planet do you mulligan your early game if you aren't playing a control deck?
Warlocks CAN NOT outscale you turn 6, if you've had a good early game. Unless your opponent has below 10 or 15 health, go for Deathstalker Rexxar. He will provide value by generating somewhat powerful cards, especially later, once you have cleared his board of Voidlord.
Never, ever, ever, EVER mulligan your early game (ESPECIALLY 1 drops) no matter WHAT deck you are playing. Early game is SO IMPORTANT in Hearthstone it's unbelievable. What kind of argument is "You can't keep the pressure in later turns"? You're a Hunter, the sole purpose of the class is to keep pressure. Besides, the less early game you draw, the more crappy draws you can get in topdeck mode. That's why the deathknight is so good in these situations, he can give value out of nowhere, ESPECIALLY against a control warlock, once you run out of steam.
I've said it before and I will say it again, NEVER MULLIGAN YOUR EARLY GAME. This has been a PSA from the Hearthstone community.
My bad I've always thought mulligan meant the opposite. But concerning with the later turns (after turn 6), it is likely to be hard to do some face damage on warlocks because they have so much cards that involve lifesteal, board clear and taunt.
IMO I feel like when I play DR, I rarely seem to get silence/charge cards and mostly get taunts/poisonous which is good for board pressure but it won't get you anywhere near the face. Which means you'll have to really on having Ironbeak Owl and/or Kill Command in your hand.
I'm not saying DR a useless play but if you don't success in doing face damage before turn 10, then it will get really rough for you because the Warlock could play Bloodreaver Gul'dan and I'm absolutely certain that you won't win when that gets played.
Thanks for the reply though. TIL the meaning of mulligan!
Without any 4 cost cards, do you think Prince Valanar would work in this deck? Maybe for Kindly Grandmother or a Savannah Highmane?
I do think it would make a good addition honestly. I don't think I have the card, but if I did, I would definitely test it out.
Definitely. Do it! A good value.
I was thinking of testing replacing a Cat Trick for Freezing Trap. Cat Trick is a great card, but I felt like it was very situational and if your opponent knows what he is doing, he can play around it or play into on purpose for some kind of AoE. If you don't have Cat Trick, maybe try adding a Freezing Trap and Prince Valanar was something I liked that was suggested in another comment.
Reaching legend with one deck is like doing it harder way. You have to adapt to the situation. Just switch to paladin when ladder is full of aggro mages.
That's not how it works for everyone. Most people play one specific deck and get good at that deck, then they can make the most out of the bad situations. For example, I lose constantly to Secret Mage with my version of Aggro Pally, but I still play it nonetheless. I am not going to switch my deck just because there is one bad matchup. Just because you adapt to the situation doesn't mean everyone else has to, and it's "easier" for them. What if I don't have the cards? What if I don't like playing the deck? Adapting isn't a part of the hearthstone competitive game (as sad as that is). Most people stick to one deck until they can beat everyone else with that deck.
secret hunter isnt enough for the current meta imo
I replaced Kindly Grandmother for BearShark, Snake Trap for Poisonous Snakes and Cat Trick for Freezing Trap
Idk if this weakens the deck or not.
it does a little, but should still be playable. BearShark is decent, but not as sticky as Grandmother. What is Poisonous Snakes? couldnt find the card online or in-game. The biggest weakness out of the three swaps you did imo is getting rid of Cat Trick. Freezing board simply lowers your opponents board presence, while Cat Trick gives you a 4/2 that your opponent cant kill right away, and thats insanely more useful for Hunter.
then go away.
Very nice list buddy +1. Had a very quick game, can get some fast wins with this deck it's very good for climbing. Made a video if anyone is interested.
Appreciate the feedback my dude, I'll try talk a bit less I do tend to ramble.
you;re kidding I climbed with this deck alone from 19 to 14 easy with 80% win rate
Hey mate,
great working deck for me, currently 8-2! I decided to also do another small guide, so here you go: VOD Guide Aggro Hunter
What about a Flare instead of Tracking?
I understand the idea behind Tracking here but maybe it's better have a tool to deal with your opponent's secrets, since you have to win fast and an Ice Block, Counterspell or any Paladin secret could stand in your way.
