Demons are scary especially when they grow bigger!
This deck is for fun and has a good winrate against most minion heavy decks. Currently 25-6, this deck loses almost against all rogues and control locks . I know that the winrate could be a lucky streak, but as you can see its working so far. When i posted this deck i haf 15-3 and now 25 - 6. Winrate lowers with ranks ofcourse..
Mulligan for 1 drop demons, Flame Imp Voidwalker Malchezaar's Imp if you have that, you can keep the upgrades or potentially a Vulgar Homunculus. You will have a hard time winning without your one drops as you want these to grow BIG.
The key component is to get your early minions big as fast as you can and hit face as often as you can. your doomguards/soulfire can finish it off. The deck has quite some taunts, which helps to guard your bigger/buffed demons. DO NOT just go for board control, as only early they can't do e.g. dragon fire etc.. know when you are ahead and pwn that face ya!!! typically only 8 turns needed, though i choose to have Bloodreaver Gul'dan as potential finisher at 10 (respawn the doom guards). In addition i added silence cards Spellbreaker so you can silence their taunts and continue to bring them low.
- Mulligan for 1 drop demons
- Make them bigger and hit face with it.
- Protect them (e.g. against priest try to buff to 4 attack) and play taunts (keep hitting face with demons)
- Lower them fast with doomguards and soulfire. Getting them in kill range.
- Win at turn per average at turn 8.
---- update ----
Winrate lowers, mostly due to many warlocks/hunters and some bad draws, still 75%. with 43 wins 14 losses
Check out this video. he plays it well! i would be bit more aggresive with the doomguards.
It refers to the strategy of this particular deck. Make your demons big.
Gul'dan is there to reload the board if the game goes too long. If you dont have him or dont want to use him if you get him, a corridor creaper or 2 (maybe minus 1 spell breaker) is a decent alternative. You just cant go as crazy with your aggro against control decks.
Agreed, a very aggresive option could be leeroyyyyy
Nice concept, gonna try it out
I put together the big demon warlock deck to see how it fared in the current meta. Unfortunately i dont have the legendary witch would probably help a ton as its a great card. Nether the less the deck preformed pretty well if the card draw is right . Here is a quick few games with the deck to show my gameplay.
Can't tell if "nether the less" is a pun or a hilarious misunderstanding...
LUL its just bad grammar :P
replacement for the imp?
Would Skull of the Man'ari be a good addition to this deck? What should be swapped for it?
the deck's main focus is tempo and Skull is effectively the opposite. What's the point of spending 5-mana doing nothing just to get a free 3/2 on your next turn. Just play the Imp and do something proactive
Exactly, many games are over at turn 6.
Murloc pala probably on of the few decks i go for board control with, have won 2 out of 2.
Thanks!
I loved playing with the deck, it quite affordable and very strong on the ladder currently. I love the potential it has and I love how strong the curve can be in certain situation, But mostly, NO ONE can defeat the mighty chin!
I made a video showcasing the deck in action, I really hope you guys enjoy!
if you did enjoy, don't forget to sub for more videos like this one daily!
Isnt the 4 mana demon that gets 7/7 taunt if you are at low health good in this deck? You have some self damage stuff, and good for combeack versus aggro?
it used to be in, as you are right. but it was a bit too slow for my playstyle. the silence keeps you going.
I searched for his deck. its indeed quite similar. He chooses to go for pirates for more burst. I prefer Saronite Chain Gang has been my MVP in many games protecting my demons! thats the key difference. Also i like to think that the soulfires add more kill potential then the corridor creepers. cheers
I have tested a similar deck a while ago, just after Kobolds & Catacombs were released. I think there were only 3 cards different compared to this one (-1 Spellbreaker, -2 Chain Gang).
While it's pretty solid, it is certainly NOT an 80% win-rate deck nor a meta-breaker! Not to mention that there are no 80% decks in the current meta at all.
