Hey guys, Mountain Giants are back in town so I needed to share this with you! Deck is really sweet on ladder at the moment, so I fully recommend it. Let's take a look on some quick tips before you take it for a spin.
No matter who you play against you want to keep Possessed Lackey, he is just that good.
Versus aggro you want cheap cards, everything except Dark Pact is good, and Hellfire is also solid. Keeping Lesser Amethyst Spellstone is also an option, especially if you already have Kobold Librarian ready. Versus control you want Mountain Giant and Rin, the First Disciple as well as afformentioned Possessed Lackey, and mulligan everything else.
This Warlock has a great game against Priest compared to other Warlock decks, as he has just one answer against Mountain Giant, so you can just turbo kill him with T4 Giant into T5 Faceless Manipulator.
Against decks where Rin is important you want to play her and immediately kill her with Dark Pact so he cannot silence her away. You can shot down aggro hard on T6 thanks to Dark Pact in combination with Possessed Lackey, where you heal out of range and get Voidlord immediately.
Faceless Manipulator is great against other Warlocks, where you just copy their Carnivorous Cube, getting the great deathrattle effect!
Deck is extremely good against Paladin and very good against Rogue as it just crushes aggro, have a decent game against Priest and Quest Mage thanks to Dirty Rat and Mountain Giant, still OK matchup against Druid and unfavorable matchup versus other Warlocks. This deck works a bit differently than Cubelock, but the main difference is that it does a better job against aggro, AND dodges weapon removal very nicely, which is seeing some extra play nowadays.
Streaming with it right as I posted this, make sure to check this deck in action here! https://www.twitch.tv/stanislavcifka

Umbra is not good, and even worst in this deck...
About N'Zoth, I don't think it's woth. You don't wan't 2/2 minions, you want Voidlords and Azari !
So, Guldan is enough. N'zoth will be probably usefull in very late game...
Sure, Umbra is no good in this deck but you're a fool if you think the card is not a good card. It's insane in Cubelock and a definite staple.
My first game with this is....a sodding priest with ALL the answers. I friggin love this game at times.
I'm trying to come up with a more oldschool version of handlock because my luck for epics is just terrible and I don't want to craft Voidlord for now, and considering I'll have to craft at least one legendary (I don't have Bloodreaver Gul'dan, Rin, the First Disciple nor The Lich King), and I wonder if Bloodreaver is even worth it without the Voidlords...
I also add Nzoth... in longer matchups I have 2 voidlords from guldan and then 4 from Zoth
I noticed that the deck runs no 3-drops, so switching a manipulator for Prince Taldaram seems like an improvement? Any reason not to?
Yeah: you don't want a 3/3 giant.
love both the cards so much at the minute, they both have different uses, but do the same thing.
Faceless for making actual copies of big minions like voidlords and giants. taldaram for copying cubes so you can pop them faster, and also stealing other death rattle minions from your oppoent that benefit going off asap.
I think you could maybe try and put taldaram in this as well for stealing cubes though. I mean you could go with 1 x manipulator, 1 x taldaram if you wanted, or cut something else and keep the 2 manipulators.
Great thing about control lock right now is that it has so much that works as it's core, that you have room to be able to be expressive a little... I mean you can get disco working with just quest and 2 x cataclysm inside of a demon based control-lock and it works well. ha ha. Even seen people running a full disco control lock and doing well with it right now.
Can I replace Manipulator by Shambler? Worse vs Cube and Priest but better vs aggro.
By far, I saw cube lock version with 2 Giants and 2 faceless also. What makes this deck better than that version? (Besides Dirty rat for baiting out Priests..)
You have 2 lackeys only 2 void lords as target. There is a high chance that at least 1 of them will be dead card..
As he said at the end of the guide, this version is better against aggro, but I'm with you in this one. Zalae's version (giants, doomguards, skull, cubes and no twisting, siphon, thalnos nor zealot) seems better (in ladder at least, I can't say much about tournament play)
Any good substitute for Bloodmage Thalnos?
Either Kobold Geomancer or Gnomish Inventor. Your choice between spell damage and drawing a card
use Tainted Zealot
Tainted Zealot all the way because it's the best with regards to Defile
Think again bro this is warlock who gives a s... to draw we need spell damage... If no thalnos, then zealot it is for 1000%
The cards purpose is to add some extra power to Defile with a side bonus of drawing you a card. There really is no replacement, because no card can be as versatile like Bloodmage Thalnos can be in this deck. If you want to run without one though, I would add a second Tainted Zealot in its stead.
If you draw your Voidlords, Possessed Lackey is useless
I just don't understand why N'Zoth is not in this deck
Not really. Any type of control warlock will struggle against Spiteful Priest.
