Spoke too soon.
so, now everyone has Reno the Relicologist, paying 2 more mana and having no rng, interesting
but 8 mana to clear the board nowadays is too slow, or useless because of certain decks that don't play minions at all
I think you are on point with this - in a slower meta, this may be everywhere to recover and flip the board state, but at the moment it won't see much play. There is plenty of other single target removal, and some decks aren't interested with their own board state beyond quest progression. But hey, maybe it'll get it's day sooner than we think with the the next expansion.
I've been playing Miracle Rogue with Deeprun Engineer and Goliath ends the game against token decks most of the time, he is also a big body so not necessarily easy to deal with specially when you completely delete the opponent's board. Deeprun Engineer is a very interesting card in Rogue that im using since it's release.
One of the worst legendaries we have seen in a while. Even if this card was released a few years ago, I highly doubt it would be playable. This card looks like it belongs to GvG, not to mention most of the decks in both formats don’t care about the board nowadays. 1/10
Oh, give Blizzard some credit for the stinkers they come up with. There are worse legendries that they've dumped on us - remember that in this very expansion, Maestra of the Masquerade exists for the lulz. I unpacked that, and can't use it for anything practical except to troll people for the first 2-3 turns. Feels bad, man.
What in most cases gonna be a twisting nether with a 8\8 body is "one of the worst legendaries" you've seen?
And what’s so special about twisting nether? I don’t remember when I last saw it being included in any warlock deck. Also, twisting nether is much better, so…
Unplayable and useless until quests are gone. When control decks can be played again this is really good.
It's in the same set as the quests, so yeah - completely useless.
Insane value. Absolutely insane. This might actually become an auto include for control decks because of how versatile it is. An 8 mana 8/8 that can clear the board, destroy a big minion, or destroy two minions
Just a reminder that control decks are dead until quests are gone. Yes its good. But currently unplayable.
Auto-include for control decks?
lol what control decks
A pretty good arena card
Agreed. I'm assuming Deeprun Engineer will be able to discover this as well, which would be a nice buff, even though it is already quite strong
Imagine playing this brick vs a laughing quest mage or garrote rogue while they're swinging your face for 20+
Oh wow, they FINALLY figured out how to code post-battlecry target selection?
Why would they print 8 mana card when you die at turn 6 or less? Haha pack filler.
Its a mech! this means you can DISCOVER this card from time to time :)
