Both Anyfin can Happen and Everyfin can Happen are both rotating out of standard. While that deck may be strong in Wild, it certainly won't happen in standard.
As for this card itself, I think it is strong, however there are a bit of ways to play around it. As many others before I have pointed out, it adapts murlocs. Most murlocs have a 1-3 health, with some that buff up health and then Finja, who sits at 5 mana so you can't gentle megasaur on curve and hit finja. If a player doesn't have any answers to the early game murlocs, then yeah they are kinda dead if the person gets good adapts. However, if you don't have any plays for the first 3 turns (or any AoE), either you got unlucky with your mulligans or you are playing a deck that would lose to most aggro match ups to begin with.
I do think those types of games will happen if a gentle megasaur deck is viable on ungoro launch. However, as it stands right now, this card isn't going to become the next midrange/jade/aggro shaman that wins before turn 7. It could still happen, they just need to curve out and draw well, which probably won't happen consistently.
Murloc hunter's a thing now XD
Menagerie, yeah?
Don't see how Menagerie would work, it won't copy any battlecries only the minions, not to mention it's a druid card not hunter and doesn't work with murlocs.
I think I miscommunicated what I meant. I was meaning that you could use some of the menagerie buff cards, like Menagerie Magician, not explicitly a menagerie deck. but I'm not sure what you mean by "it's a druid card" unless you mean Menagerie Warden, but I think this card would fit somewhere in there.
Do pardon, i should have specified. I meant that Menagerie Warden is a druid card so it can't really work with my silly idea of a hunter murloc deck. I haven't used Menagerie magician much and didn't know its name so when you said Menagerie i thought you meant the Warden that's why i just noted it's a druid card and won't work on hunter. In any case that was my mistake do pardon and Magician would work interestingly with that yes.
No worries! I like these kinds of conversations because despite playing the game for over 2 years, there's still plenty to learn!
Windfury
This card is going to be Finja's best friend. It is pretty insane. Solid stat line (way better than the kara buff cards), not too expensive so allows for combo potential, and to top it off it's a beast that can be picked up with curator. It pretty much seems like a better enhance-o-mechano for murlocs
The difference between Crystalweaver and Gentle Megasaur though is that there are a lot more ways to flood the board with murlocs (since they are cheap or via Finja) and they have a more immediate impact than demons do. Additionally, adapt is a much more powerful effect compared to Crystalweaver's effect of +1/+1. Adapt is able to do much more than that (in addition to being able to give +1/+1 if you desire).
While I don't think Gentle Megasaur will be strong in most decks, it definately has a place in some decks, especially with Finja.
-You have 3 demons on board. You're a warlock since it's the only class with access to demons, and you drop Crystalweaver. You give them all +1/+1. Value. Your opponent proceeds to play a 1-mana 1/1, a 1-mana 2/2, a 1-mana 3/3, shuffles a few cards into his deck, plays a 1-mana 20/20
-You instead have 5 murlocs on board. Murlocs are cheaper, and you have cards like Murloc Tidehunter and Finja on the board. You get 3 choices. One of them is +3 attack.
You play your permanent 4-mana Bloodlust and promptly kill the druid.
Keep in mind we've only seen 6 of 10 adaptations. What if one of them is something like charge, or +3 health? Or maybe +1/+1? I can see this card being pretty solid depending on what other adaptations we still get to see.
Charge wouldn't be great, unless you're planning on playing murlocs on the same turn as this guy, +1/+1 would be fun though
The last four adaptations have already been confirmed:
Poison Spit: Poisonous.
Rocky Carapace: +3 Health.
Shrouding Mist: Stealth until your next turn.
Volcanic Might: +1/+1.
Am I seeing correctly? This card is used 1/3 of the time in preist decks!
Why not 100% of the time?
There is something I don`t understand: Do you buff your Murlocs individualy or do you choose a buff and every Murloc gets that?
P.S: For got to mention, card might make some cards from Kharazan have more play, like The Curator or Menagerie Magician, also Finja looks like a good adotion to this card.
Choose a buff and every Murloc gets it seems to be the Hearthstone way.
Aah ok then.
Seems really good if Finja, the Flying Star remains popular. You can play it the turn after you play Finja and have Mana left over, and you can give Finja and the summoned Murlocs extra burst, resistance against board clears, or other helpful effects. You can combine it with The Curator, too.
