This card is a great solution to making mill decks viable without making them OP. This is a great card so naturally players will want to include it in their deck. Since mill decks can counter the card, it will make mill decks viable while the card is prevalent in the meta. Mill decks have always had the problem of being too good or useless. This lends the decks viability for a time without changing the mill deck structure at all. Smart.
I'm really surprised how little druid decks use Chromaggus. He seems really good in mill druid.
IMO, he feels a BIT like Kel did when he first came out, everyone considered him the best 8 Drop ever: He Slices, He Dices, he has 8 HP , He re-summons board, he washes dishes,he dodges BGH, and shaves the Cat.... but honestly this card seems a Bit like a "Hit me" Magnet, just like Kel is, by now EVERYONE knows, the Second your enemy Plays Kel..... kill it...., this is the same logic... I can see him being useful as a Shaman with Mana Tide Totems because hes gonna get a single effect out, but honestly he seems a BIT too much like something you HAVE to remove ASAP... so, my honest opinion, hes a Gimmicy, but VERY cool card, sort of like Kel, that works in some decks but not all... Maby in a Spare Parts deck for the Cloak Field Potential? In sort: If you play it, Dont expect Chromaggus to survive unless you cloak or shield him...
it will be great in control warrior because our cards have already so much value and duplicating them is just awesome, we can already afford to run all the legendaries so this will be 100% playable in some ctrl decks
yea druids can bring out things faster
Sadly, no that doesnt work. You will get one with a reduced price and a copy without the reduced price.
i like chromaggus in warrior more then thaurissan the copy effect is neat and i dont believe thaurissan will kick out shieldmaidens or sylv
Nice combos you guys going on right there. But how about a turn 10 wild growth? xD
Time to get my Mill Druid!
Holy Wrath value?
chromaggus + ysera = combo wombo?
It was, I just saw that mentioned. Oh well, at least the devs are one step ahead of my diabolical plans :)
If you draw, e.g. Tirion Fordring and Chromaggus is on the board, you'll get 2 Tirion Fordrings instead, so yeah, you're right, value town, but it's so slow, druids might get it to work with 2 Innervates though
Paladins have that 5 mana drop that makes the next Dragon cost (2) less. I think that makes cards like Chromaggus and even Nefarion playable for Paladin.
edit: Dragon Consort
Wonder how this will do with Shaman. A class that struggles with draw.
Wondering the same thing. Maybe Ancestor's Call and far sight/mana tide totem? but na, u wont see this on shaman.
would fit in control warrior variants. Space is tough already but double shield slams, weapons, legendaries make it a solid card. Great for control variants even in priest
I agree with you sir, but there's one little thing: The hunter is in actual worst spot than shaman considering card draws, shaman still applies board when "yolo hero-powering" and has mana-tide totem as well.
and hunter hero power doesn't affect the board and his draws are all bad since buzzard got nerf
I do understand what you're talking about, the draw is much more importantant in shaman, now i get it
