Don't worry, it will be scripted to be drawn in the mulligan or in the first draws like other cards in the game.
Which card (other than quests) is scripted to do that? Is that a rumor or do you have a source?
I meant that since the draws in Hearthstone are clearly not random but a lot of cards show up in the mulligan with a higher percentage than others (see N'Zoth's First Mate, Fiery War Axe, and the list goes on for long..), this card will be just another addition to that list.
Is there a statement from blizzard on this? Or sime kind of statistical evidence? Or is it just rambling and "but it feels like it!"? I've seen Alexstraza a lot in my mulligan lately. Not really what I wanted to see...
Yeah, my Reno Lock list only have dark bomb and doomsayer as 2 drops.
-1 Doomsayer +1 Prince Keleseth
-1 Dark bomb +1 mistress of mixtures or something else
Doomsayer is a great card i know, but +1+1 to all minions can be insane, 4/6 belcher, 5/7 reno, 6/6 loatheb, 2/6 tar creeper, 6/6 thaurisan, 3/5 imp gang boss, and many others.
Its also brutal with brann on board, making even a zombie chow into 4/5 minion.
Its so much value, and most important, its fun!
Can also be fun in some kind of wild brew with Krul.
A 2 mana 2/2 is totally playable, even in aggressive decks, I mean Hydrologist is a thing in Murloc Paladin or Dark Peddler is a good card for Warlock for example, so the effect just needs to be worth the cost...
Sadly it's not the case here, there's way too much essential cards in the 2 mana range, not worth it.
Sure, you could say that we could play this card later on the game, when we used all the 2-mana cards, but then, it's quite a weak effect.
I don't think it was a nice idea to put this kind of card for the first reveal, it's quite... Underwhelming. But well, everything can happen.
Noteworthy Two Drops Each Class Stands to lose out on:
Rogue loses out on eviscerate, razorpetal lasher and sap.
Warrior loses sleep with the fishes, armorsmith, execute, slam, fiery war axe, bloodsail raider, heroic strike, Dirty Rat.
Shaman loses flametongue, primal fin, jade claws, maelstrom, devolve.
Mage loses frostbolt, primordial glyph, sorcerer's apprentice, arcanologist and medivh's valet.
Druid loses Wild Growth, wrath, power of the wild, mark of y'shraaj.
Priest loses divine spirit, shadow word pain, radiant elemental, shadow visions, netherspite historian, dirty rat.
Hunter's going to lose all their secrets and kindly grandmother and Crackling Razormaw.
Paladin's going to lose rockpool hunter, hydrologist, equality and grimestreet Outfitter,
Warlock loses ancient watcher, sunfury protector, bloodbloom, dire wolf alpha, and knife juggler and darkshire librarian.
This is for a non guranteed effect that does NOT affect the board state immediately outside of the underwhelming but not terrible 2/2 body, and fails to buff any cards on your board, in your hand or that you discover from Stonehill etc. Unless this card has a lot of support in the form of helping classes compensate for or bandage the loss of their more critical 2 drops, I think this card will see no play. it's arguably more constricting than Reno Jackson's requirements for an effect that I feel is much less impactful.
Warlock's probably this card's best bet. It will probably have the easiest time drawing it, although it will lose out on sunfury and ancient watcher which are Handlock staples, but maybe the rest of expansion can fill that gap.
Good for Kripparrian's 35 Legendary Deck
No, actually, the random legs from malchezaar could contain cho or pagle. If it were 30 legendaries then yes!
You're right... but fuck the odds haha
I'm not a math guy, but the odds of drawing this card in your starting hand or top decking it early game don't seem high enough for this card to be playable.
Going first,
6/30 (20%) in your opening hand, 25.925% of drawing it by turn 2.
Going Second,
8/30 (26.666% [Repeating of course]) in your opening hand, 29.487% on turn 1 draw so you can coin it out, 32.307% by turn 2.
Though these assume you're heavily mulliganing for it.
How about this card in a hunter quest deck? Seems to be a really solid way to make the early game a lot better, and if you can wait until after you complete the quest turning those raptors into 4-3's would be incredible.
Had the same thought, you wouldn't need 2 cost minions if you can play 2 1 cost minions, won't be as good, but is a good enough replacement
what are jokes
I think people will try to make this card work, but I feel it is WAY to draw dependent. If this is in the opening hand of Buffadin Pally, then it's super strong. But the fact is you'd most likely see it drawn too late and the removal of the 2 mana cards means some key Buffadin cards can't even be in the deck! So, we'll see if other new cards synergize with this, but I think the early draw dependency is too hard to overcome.
I only see this working in a 1-drop zoolock deck, but they have to print some OP ones first.
This is a failed attempt to create a new deck like team 5 did with Reno
