perfectly balanced
I would be so happy if they banned this card in Arena. It's fine in constructed where you can consciously play around it in when you're against a deck that you know runs it (Renolock), but in Arena there are dozens of heated midrange vs midrange games that are won in complex full board vs board scenarios. This card just comes out of fucking nowhere and instawins the game in those situations.
Honestly, it's like implosion when it comes to badly designed cards, where one person is bound to feel extremely unsatisfied by the end result. It also punishes players for increasing their win condition in arena, which is playing more minions. Before some of you start complaining to "play around it", there are plenty of scenarios where you have to play that 4th minion to win the board or secure a game, only to have this no skill card steal the game.
Combo's great with Dirty Rat, hopefully it draws out a decent battlecry while stealing a minion when your opponent has 3 on board.
He's back :D
The design on this card is abysmal, particularly when your opponent's minions vary greatly in power.
Sure, it is a nice way to stop flood decks. But this ability to just swing any game should not belong to a 3-drop. One thing is stealing a 1/1 Imp, the other is stealing a taunt or a Rag and just win the game because of a 25 or less percent chance.
Just witnessed my brother's arena run end because of this little guy taking over his one taunt surrounded by recruits. I'd have lost my patience a lot quicker than him.
It's like the Wololo from Age of Empires :-D
This card feels soooo wierd. I know it's just RNG, but whenever anyone (including me) plays it, it always grabs basically the best minion.
Odd.
WTF! Always best possibility happens!
Most rigged card in the game
if your opponent has 4 minions, does brann + this steal 2 of them or do the battlecries work seperately so that you only steal 1?
I know this is old but it will only steal 2 if your opponent has 5 creatures. It checks for each battle cry weather there are 4 minions
pure cancer
Words cannot describe how much this card hates me, how every time I play it in Arena I steal the silver hand recruit and they steal Sylvy. Of all the RNG cards I've always hated this one the most.
Combo with Leeroy Jenkins if your opponent has at least two minions kappa
I love this card despite having RNG involved.
Just played a game where a Druid had 3 minions, so I suicide my Deathlord and a Kel'Thuzad popped up and I managed to steal it with Mind Control Tech.
Since my Deathlord got revived I was able to control the board and win the game. :)
If the opponent has 5 minions, and Mind Control Tech steals Brann Bronzebeard, does Mind Control Tech steal a 2nd minion?
i.e. does Brann Bronzebeard's ability trigger even if he wasn't on your board when the battlecry initiated (but was added to your board as a consequence of the battlecry)
No your battlecry already triggered. It triggers twice if bronze beard already yours
I love this card. I have determined when you're behind, this guy will get you ahead. When you're ahead, then you're f-ed if you try it.
Used this in my Reno Paladin deck vs Deathrattle Rogue, I felt sorry for my opponent for doing so. The Rogue had a pair of 1|2 Slimes, a 1|1 Spectral Spider and Sneed's Old Shredder on the board. I managed to steal the strongest minion amongst them. Even when my opponent managed to kill it, Ysera popped out. Needless to say, MCT was pretty much the MVP of that match, and he has earned his spot in the deck.
