I feel sorry for rogues. This used to be actually a fairly cool card.
I run a deck with 2 Jeweled Scarab, and I sometimes choose this card against control decks. It can be especially good against Warriors, as late game they often have a large amount of armor you need to break through. Yes, it's inefficient, but having that consistent damage nearly every turn can often bring them in range for the burst finisher. Not sure I'd put this card into a deck, but Discovering it can be really handy.
I think this could pretty safely deal 3 damage instead of 2. As it is, it's unplayable in everything, even Malygos Rogue.
How is recurring unblockable 7 face damage for 3 mana unplayable?
Are you forgetting the odds of malygos surviving longer than the turn after when you play him are incredibly small? On top of that, this spell is 3 mana, so unless you got a thaurissan tick on it and malygos together, you can't drop it on the same turn either.
that's fair that you can't play both at the same time, I suppose.
I didn't consider the likelihood of survival though. I mean it has 12 health and there's only so many removals one person can have.
Granted silences are a different matter entirely, I suppose... And by turn 9 there's bound to be a lot of stuff on the board anyway so without sufficent taunt they may break through anyway...

It just silently sits there in its grave... wishing it could've been 2 mana and done the world proud :,(
then casting it 5 times would deal 10 damage for 10 mana which is a fucking free pyroblast

1.If it costs 10 mana its not free
2. It takes you 5 turns to get 10 damage out
3. By your logic, Arcanite Reaper is a Pyroblast for 5 and Fiery War Axe is a Fireball for 2

No. It used to cost 2 mana, but it was too strong especially in Miracle, so they nerfed it to 3, which sadly made it unplayable.
