Core Set Has Been Released!
The new Core set has been revealed and we have taken great effort and put every new card in our database, ready for you to use.

Below we have listed the new cards of the Core set as well as some notable changed cards. With 235 cards it is obviously too much to list everthing!

Maybe. It's a battlecry so various other ways of it hitting the board won't get the effect.
I guess having the beast tag is supposed to make up for it? Can be copied, handbuffed, etc?
My annoyance as a mage player is they seemed to have taken away ways they control the board making it easier to swarm them. Mage has no taunt minions or healing. The game isn't going to be any LESS aggro because they are constantly dropping in new aggro cards. Maybe the new exp will help them out, but mage is one of the classes that feels like it's always playing from behind and struggling.
you have a lot of taunt in neutral pool of minions... Annoy-o-tron, Lone Champion..., and we have to see new cards from expansion, Mage has also Explosive Sheep which is Consecration, there will be new decks and archetypes, do not think about existing decks, there will be a lot of changes (rotation of 3 expansions to Wild) to new decks to shine
and I think, that Aggro will suffer a little bit, becase they removed a lot of burst damage spells, so when you finally stabilize, they will not have the chance to burst you down as it is right now
I see no reason not to disenchant my priest legendary since I won’t need it for hs14 and Id have a temporary copy from the core set

FWIW - I'm a Hunter and Rogue main. From what I see, everyone seems a bit tilted that "their" class has been gutted. Lots of folks complaining about Mage and Druid on the subreddit, for example. The power level of most classes seems a good deal lower when compared to the current evergreen sets.
On the positive side, Headhunter's Hatchet was good enough to see play during Rastakhan, and it might be a serviceable replacement for Eaglehorn Bow going forward. Bearshark isn't bad as the Animal Companion replacement, and Quickshot isn't terrible as the Kill Command replacement.
On the negative side - it's disappointing to see the same Secrets. I had hoped to see Wandering Monster, Cat Trick or something else from Wild. If I'm not mistaken, the only Hunter card that was buffed is likely still unplayable (Lock and Load requires a spell-heavy build, and lots of mana - but Hunter typically doesn't want the game to go long enough for L&L to be worth playing.) The new card (2-mana 1/1) is likely the weakest among the batch of 29. Highmane hasn't seen play since Kathreena was in Standard. Same with King Krush. Hyena sees play for a few weeks every year or two. Same with Deadly Shot. Arcane Shot isn't good enough to currently see play in Face Hunter. Dire Frenzy likely won't be worth it without some kind of card draw, and some kind of Charge (Tundra Rhino is gone, and so is the Wolf - but Trampling Rhino might work, I suppose, especially if "trampling" becomes a new class pseudo-ability, possessed by other new playable minions.)
It seems pretty bad - but lots of folks are saying the same thing about other classes. I'm open-minded, at any rate.
edit - I just noticed that Tracking has been changed to "Discover a card . . ." rather than draw a card and discard two others. That's a pretty big change, to be honest - the current version of the card has seen a respectable amount of play over the years, and currently sees play in everything other than Face Hunter.
I've been generally distressed about the state of Hunter for about a year now, with the cards they get in sets being weaker and less fun than what other classes get. I think the main factor in my own disappointment, as well as others, was the expectation. I think people were expecting a lot more new cards, and a more diverse selection of cards from Wild. I think it feels bad to have a main class that still winds up with several cards it's had since the beginning.
Every card in Hunters arrangement is bad in more ways than it's good. Webspinner is awful, a gut-punch compared to the 1-drops Paly, Shaman, Priest and Warlock got. Jeweled Macaw would have suited better, because Deathrattle is a pretty bad mechanic in present day Hearthstone. "Random" and "Beast", or "Random" and "Hunter" are words that pair horribly together, since Hunter's cards are typically bad, and Random Beasts are consistently bad. Quick Shot didn't even receive a tune-up to make a second clause that actually comes up. I could go on forever, but I won't because that would be a pain for everybody.
I'll admit, other classes got it rough too. Mage and Druid both got some pretty abysmal cards, but Mage at least got some meaningful buffs to cards it got, and a sweet new Legendary. Druid for some reason is still stuck with Cenarius and now has attack-based removal, which while on theme could have used a new card and a revised card to make the strategy feel stronger. Why is Nourish still at 6? Why do we still have Ancient of War?
Forgive my doom and gloom, but it was a long fall from expectations to reality, and I'm pretty sore from it.
Tracking also got buffed to not discard the other cards. This seems like an insane buff to any sort of combo hunter.
They actually also buffed tracking to not discard cards. Not a crazy deal most likely but could come up if a combo hunter ever exists.
The Tracking discard never particularly mattered to most decks, and was actually an upside in most cases since you were always ditching draws you didn't want. You're right, if Combo Hunter were a thing Tracking would help it, but Hunter has no Taunt, no Healing, and bad removal, so a Combo Hunter is a far off dream.
Its actually a nerf, the thinning was what made Tracking good.
I hated that damn bloodlust
Warlock and Priest now have 2 mana deal 3 to a minion and lifesteal, shaman has 4 mana deal 4 to a minion lifesteal...like always worst versions of something that other classese already have...
Looks like shaman it's going to keep beeing tier4ever.
one question ... if i already have some legendary cards from classic set and they are now in core set (we get all cards for free) can i disenchant these legendarys now for extra dust and then i recieve them back as a core set versions ?
I believe the answer is yes (and can be done after) but they will not be available in classic mode if you do this. Also if the cards rotate out of core set next year you will not have them. But if all you play is standard you can dust all of them lol
but i will still have these cards or ? i am wild player dont care about new classic mode ... but i think i will have these card for free so i will have them forever right ? lets say i dis king krush i will recieve him as core set card and have him and other cards i disnechant or ?
duuude if you play Wild, do not diss any card, if you diss f.e. Tirion, and next year he will not be in Core set, you will lose him and to be able to play him in Wild next year you will have to craft him, also if you diss Wrath (Druid) you will not be able to play it in Wild this year
