I already know how the Golden version of this card looks like. The Goblin going back and forth with his finger :D
Loving the art!
How does he do it? :P
If someone discover his trick, he will do it again.
I mean this can still whiff sometimes, but with mana cyclone it is still pretty good
Well now team five have more space to make cheap spells since you cant have 1 or 2 manawyrms on the board on turn one ready for smash your opponent in a few turns
Discover a Secret or Frostbolt
Joker: do you want see a magic trick....?!
Mage: the class where you fill your deck with spells that let you discover other spells instead of putting those spells actually in your deck.
I'm really confused as to where they want MAge to go at this point. Do we just go back to the times where you play Antonidas with multiple cheap spells and get enough Fireballs to just kill your opponent over the course of the game?
Because otherwise I don't see any win condition other than praying to RNGsus
There are other ways to take advantage of cheap spells, auctioneer, the new card mana cyclone and maybe even more other cards that havent been revealed yet
I'm feeling the itching for a tempo mage with Archmage Antonidas + multiple fireball finishing again...
The only problem I see is you can reasonably get 3 secrets, but:
1) Your opponent would never guess which secret you randomly got because you never put it in your deck in the first place
2) Some secrets are pretty good in most situations
3) Kirin Tor Mage is still a card
I like this quite a lot.
1 mana: discover a random frostbolt
Ha ha !
Miracle mage incoming!
It's funny how limiting the cards you can get makes this better than Tome of Intellect.
discover
Arcane Keysmith
this card is ok I guess would be so much better with 1 mana Mana Wyrm
These small spells are making Mana Wyrm better. Synergy with Stargazer Luna. Also good with Hex Lord Malacrass since they're good to start with and decent to play again late (and with him giving you 3-4 cards you often need to play one same turn to not overdraw.)
And of course more synergy with the crazy new buildaround, Mana Cyclone.
All of them have anti-synergy with Kalecgos though.
Good synergy with Mana Cyclone and an acceptable replacement for Primordial Glyph. Should work pretty well in the fast spell mage archetype.
nice nerfed spellpool for Khalegos.
