Card Review
KiwiiNbacon has reviewed the new cards.
Ok, hear me out: The Forest Aid's + Lorewalker Cho vs Mecha'thun
Unfortunately most Mecha'thun decks don't work after the rotation.
Warlock - loses Cataclysm and Bloodbloom
Druid - loses Naturalize
Priest - Combo is still there, but it loses a lot of it's survivability in Awaken the Makers and Psychic Scream
5/6 abonimations gone, dude
Priest will lose Ticking Abomination.... so noMecha'thun for them
the ultimate counter, RIP mechathun
Spellward Jeweler costs 3 mana, Temporus costs 7 mana. Too bad Temporus is rotating out, would have been a neat combo otherwise. May still be doable in wild if opponent doesn't kill you on turn 4.
minions are still a thing though. Would work wonders against spell based combo decks however
Controll Spell Legendary Shaman.
Hagatha + 2 Witchwood Piper and Arch Villian Rafaam as the only minions.
The goal would be to control the board with spells. Shaman has a decent amount of spells that summon minions so that helps with board pressence. You want to get Rafaam in your hand, to play after Hagatha.
The reason for this is vaule. Most legendary cards are minions, which means Rafaam will pretty much give you for the most part minions, but with Hagatha activated on the board, you also will still have spells. Get to this point and I suspect it will be a highly oppressive deck. We are most likely going to be in a slower meta, so to get this rolling shouldnt be to far fetched
Raffam is a warlock card, unless my monitor is showing purple over another color.
Isnt rafaam a warlock Cars?
oh shit, my bad
dreams are crushed then :<
I think the goal of the deck would be how you get Rafaam into a Shaman deck.
that would just mean a deck that has no pressure whatsoever until having played HAgatha and Rafaam and also relies completely on random card generation while not exactly outvaluing anything.
It's probably good against grindy decks, that's true, but unless Shaman get amazing control /stall spells (remember that Healing rain and Volcano are gone) any decent aggro deck will just bumrush you within 5 turns.
Great idea! Meta-defining!
Problem is is that Rafaam is a warlock card
Pre-order isn't available on eu yet?
Love the arts so far
Spellward looks so good with otk decks
also looks good against them. Combine it with Zihi and you can effectively stall the about for 5-6 turns while also generating a board
Hagatha's Scheme shall be henceforth known as the Lebron James card. Not 1, not 2, not 3..
