Quote from DaxxarriRikkar stood on the intricately cobbled path and gazed up at the fabled Gurubashi Arena. Ever since he was a little troll, he’d dreamt of being here, preparing to compete at the legendary Rumble. As the crowd streamed past him toward the gates, he paused to savor the moment: the thrill of anticipation on the air, the roar of the crowd in the stands, the grimaces of pain as chumps paid the scalper for last minute tickets. Nothing in the world was like Rastakhan’s Rumble!
Rikkar had spent his whole life preparing for this moment (and bought his tickets two years ago. He wasn’t foolish). Last time the Rumble was held, Rikkar was small enough to watch the action from his father’s shoulders, screaming at the top of his lungs along with the crowd as he witnessed High Priest Thekal clinch the final for the Tigers over the Sharks. He knew it then: someday HE would be down on the sands, and the crowd would be roaring HIS name!
As he joined the long line leading into the arena, the team posters that adorned the walls caught his eye. They were pristine, unlike his well-loved, but creased and faded collection back at the village.
The Tigers! Now there was a team! Rikkar could see himself earning Shirvallah’s favor and wearing the gold. He’d been training all his life: he had the eye of the tiger . . . the thrill of the fight . . . the wing of a bat . . . and a few other animal parts, just in case. Rikkar came prepared.
One thing you could say for the Bats, Hir’eek’s team knew how to get the job done. And shriek. And do absolutely anything it takes to win. Rikkar had to respect the initiative.
Why be a Bat when you could be a Rhino though? No fancy tactics or thinking. Got a problem? Smash it! Don’t got a problem? Smash it anyway! Plus, everybody loves War Master Voone. Not only are Voone’s parties legendary, rumor has it that he’s got friends in high places. Blackrock Mountain is pretty high up, right?
Rikkar couldn’t believe it. Twenty years later, he was finally part of the crowd thronging into the Gurubashi Arena. His heart was resolved: he wasn’t just here to watch the spectacle this time. He was here to compete! Somehow. . . .
He just needed a chance to prove himself!
But which team would he join? Which Loa would he pledge himself to?

Apparently it does not need to survive, but only triggers on your turn.
This card is a pure filler that will very rarely get any value, and it is a horrendous tempo play at 3 health on turn 4.
I assume an overkill minion triggering the overkill effect will activate the effect even if it dies, so this effect isn't fit to darius sadly (it would make the card so much better.. and it deserves to be better.., but it got totally outclassed by a neutral 5 drop in boomsday)
turn 3 Coin + Houndmaster Shaw turn 4 Ticket Scalper
maybe
Baku Warrior will be happy! Oh...wait...
Heavy Metal! That is so ...
Ticket scalper is actually really good. Its decently stated and its effect means its kind of a "must kill" card. The opponent will probably often see the need to kill this so it wont draw you a bunch of cards, but if the opponent trades in with something with less that 5 health, you draw 2 cards, that means he will have to drade with a big minion to clear this sufficiently, but then he had to make a really terible trade, like bumping a giant into an annoy-o-tron from giggling inventor and dealing 5 damage to it. This makes this card really good. If he leaves it up its a tremendous danger to the opponent. Giving this rush or charge makes it even better! The only downside is that its easily cleared with spells... but then the opponent has one less spell to deal with all your other stuff. I expect this to see play in some kind of deck just for its core value, 4 mana 8 stats with "draw 2 cards or more".
It might ok in arena but it's far from being ''really good'' in my opinion. Pretty much every class has an answer to this card that are auto-includes already
Priest has Duskbreaker, Warlock has Hellfire, Hunter has Flanking Strike, etc.
AlsoTar Creeper pretty much denies it by itself
Well, if Warrior can bring back Pirate Warrior this expansion as well as a pirate package for Rogue then Ticket Scalper will see play, Kinda reminds me of Genzo, the Shark but with a pirate tag and can run 2 copies. Pretty gooood.
Heavy Metal on the other hand....Yip but for 2 mana less and no 4/8 body and doesn't keep going...yeah seems pretty bad imo. If this were 5 cost then it would most certainly see play in Odd Warrior, in theory it would be pretty easy to get 8 armor on turn 5 but alas that is not the case. I don't think Even Warrior will be a thing unless it's whole Loa build around stuff is even cost, so in the mean time this card is honestly pretty unappealing.
High priest tekal the paladin legendary.... it's just so out of place..
It is a bit misplaced, but Liadrin and Turalyon were priests before becoming paladins so Thekal's transition is not objectionable.
Yeah, that was my guess about it, it doesn't make it any less awkward though.
Ticket Scalper + Houndmaster Shaw?
Not sure...
Ticket Scalper pretty much just becomes a soft Taunt card. People won't want to leave up something with a 5/3 stat line in general. Something that could get them cards AND trade well? It looks like a decent card.
Heavy Metal on the other hand just feels lacklustre. Geosculptor Yip is barely relevant in the meta now. Somehow a poor man's version with no statline for only 2 less mana seems pretty 'eh'. Unless there's support or cost reduction in the offing, that one's a pack filler.
a 4 mana 5/3 with soft taunt is still bad, considering the average two-drop trades into it. Might work in arena as a win-more card when you're already ahead enough that you can safely play it and your opponent has no way of killing it instantly.
No disagreement. In decks that can either grant Rush (very few, I think Houndmaster Shaw is all I can think of short of the incredibly awesome Rocket Boots), it's okay at face value. Otherwise, like I said.. needs support and/or cost discounting.
1000 armor warrior got some help.
Not odd at least.
I also attempted to play Even warrior and I was getting armor quite quickly. 6 mana 10/10+ in stats isn't that bad tbh.
So does protagonist Rikkar have 9 team options at the start, then goes through 8 class matches?
Luckily Heavy Metal is not an odd costed card..
