Valeera's Bag of Burgled Spells is This Week's Brawl
Valeera has stolen spells from every class and filled your deck with them! Each of those spells will summon a random minion of the same cost when played.
Trivia
- This is the fourth time we've seen this brawl.
- This brawl first debuted on November 23, 2016.
- The brawl is very similar to Battle of Tol Barad but you don't get to build your own deck.
- Valeera has taken over the Brawl and you can only choose her.
- In the 100th Tavern Brawl, this was one of the playable brawls.
How it Works
- Hit Brawl to start playing! Your deck is randomized with only spells (from all classes) and you'll be playing as Valeera.
- Casting spells will also summon a random minion onto the field of the same cost. #Value
- Battlecries won't go off in this brawl due to the summoned nature of minions.
Discuss This Week's Brawl
Head on over to our Brawl Forums to discuss this week's brawl in the dedicated forum thread.
I absolutely love this kind of brawls. I played like 50-60 games today and I'm not planning on stopping. I will play this brawl exclusively until Sunday.
What!? No one has that kind of time.
Well, I do.
Out of all the "crazy random" brawls, this is one of my favorites still. Got rekt a few times, but I played a few more games to get a Rogue Quest done. Nothing spectacular, but a bit of strategy mixed with some randomness for some good casual fun.
Just hope they have something interesting ready for next week. Would be nice if it was something, where you can play some of your fresh new cards, maybe one about mechs and it also allows Wild cards, and even better would be, if the next Brawl gives you one or maybe two packs for BDP...
... or it's another variation of "Crossroads" and you get the usual Classic pack. But you never know.
Gah this one was absolutely horrible to me! Two matches in a row my opponent got Earth Elemental off a 5-mana spell and snowballed from there. Next match I was just about in it until I cast a 5-mana spell and got... Furbolg Mossbinder.
Finally won in my fifth match and finished, no thanks.
I don't love this brawl, but I am confused. Why no sealed expansion packs for brawl this week or last? Seems like a weird change of policy.
Opponent plays some 4-mana spell and summons Burly Rockjaw Trogg. LOL I obviously need to up my veneration of RNGesus to try and get that kind of luck in this Brawl.
well, one and done. there ain´t much more to say to these kinds of Brawl
I've actually been having a lot of fun with this one.
RNG fiesta for sure, but there are some really funny interactions, and we get to try with Witchwood cards now too.
They once again wasted the chance of giving us a pre-view of the new cards with the Tavern Brawl preceding the release...
One day, though.
But this time, the expansion comes out on a Tuesday instead of a Thursday. I guess, they didn't want to overdo it with crazy surprises and breaking with traditions. Could confuse some players, you know...
Turn 1, coin Renounce Darkness, gg.
Twisting Nether summoned and killed Tirion Fordring opponent insta concede. kthxbaiGG
Candyass. That's about as well as he could have hoped for that to go. At least he got the Ashbringer out of it. Could've been like my Warlock opponent last night who got Grommash Hellscream. He Wow'ed a few times. Salt, I guess.
Ah I think I was a little unclear, I cast Twisting Nether and got Ashbringer, opponent conceded.
Thank you to the guy that was stupid enough to play Explore Un'Goro against me. Now I don't have to torture myself playing this shit brawl.
Not everyone plays this brawl for wins as a priority, but because it's a fun brawl with unique interactions. I might also do it if it was later in the game, when there is a lot of mana available.
Another RNG clown fiesta. Who comes up with these shit brawls?
Just about every brawl which doesn't require you to build decks, or doesn't use some special non-regular heroes (like ragnaros) have the lame clown fiesta rng. Blizzard is just lazy, and it's easier for them to have the system predetermine who gets the good cards and who doesn't instead of just making the card draw 100% random.
Opponent played Volcano to clear my board and before it went off a Grim Patron spawned for him/her.
But hey that's RNG for you :)
Luckily I managed to get back in the game with Cheap Shot casting it 5 times. Got pack and NA cleared! Only EU and Asia to go....
