Why take time to draw a nice card in such a bad card!
Only combo I could think of is in Recruit Hunter, a Carnivorous Cube with a Charged Devilsaur inside must be on board to survive one turn, then you can Play Dead twice. with four 7 health Charged Devilsaur, then you can use Star Aligner to do face damage and clear the taunts, then proceed with 28 face damage.
Problem is.....if you can manage to satisfy the prerequisite of this combo, you probably already won...
How is a 13 mana combo easier to set up? It's unlikely that your Malygos will even live to see the next turn. A bad example, if you asked me.
After all, we better have a neutral epic that is UP rather than OP.
If it said 7+ health then it might have seen some niche play due to Giants... As it is... Unplayable... (channels inner Trump....) 1 star
You really would have to get the stars to align to get any use out of this, but I'd rather it be that way than be super overpowered by default. I can't imagine a deck where you'd have 3 7 health minions against a board full of enemies, or even 3 7 health minions in general, but it's still fun to think about
Could find a home in wild giants mage maybe
Giant Warrior, maybe? One hit of DK Garrosh turns your giants into 7-healths.
Align the stars... Somehow... Well good highlight real. But will rarely work...
And pointless as shudderwock wins you the game anyway.
It has its biggest potential in Cubelock atm.
It's not too hard to set up a Cube with Doomguards in it and open it next turn + this card.
Edit: For clarification all you need is 2 Doomguards - not 3.
I also never stated the card to be a key card. We are speaking of a one-of card which probably doesn't work 100% of the time. Keep in mind you can do the setup up to 3 times in a match or even more if you do it with Doomsayer.
I am pretty sure Star Aligner counts towards its own Battlecry.
Otherwise the wording would have been like "If you control 3 other minions...".
Nope, because with an aviana-kun-combo you should have already won the game.
Grumble, Worldshaker played with Zola the Gorgon on itself and any other 7 health minion to create 1 mana 7/7s. Next turn play your 1 mana 7 health duo and then Star Aligner!
Any reason why this is being downvoted? I am fairly sure this would work, and is in line with current meta strategies (Shudderwock/Battlecry Shaman).
There is enough variation in Shudderwock decks that you could find room for them. Maybe trim a Mana Tide Totem, and a Sandbinder, or some of the tech options, like oozes or Black Knight, maybe only run a one-of removal option of each.
If you run Keleseth and Saronite Chain Gang the condition is already met without needing to put in any 7 health minions.
This card probably works like Fight Promoter, so you really only need two 7 health minions in play to get this effect. There are some good cheap options like Injured Blademaster and Doomsayer, and even Twilight Drake and Bewitched Guardian could work. Or maybe you cheese out some 7 health minions with cubes.
Where I think this could really shine is in a wacky OTK Shaman (I know, not practical when compared to Shudderwock). But Grumble, Worldshaker has 7 health, and can make the costs of other 7 health minions low enough that this could actually work. Shaman is also the only class that has access to double battlecries in standard today.
Yeah, I'm not saying it's a practical way to win the game. Despite that, I think with 2x Murmuring Elemental and 2x Star Aligner you could achieve an OTK, and cards like Grumble, Worldshaker, Fire Plume Harbinger, and Far Sight may be able to make the costs line up while Healing Rain and cards like Ancestral Spirit may make your 7 health minions sticky enough to line it up.
It won't be competitive, but I can easily imagine some interesting meme decks that could win games.
Ayyy first nightborne!
