ShiftCon is This Week's Tavern Brawl
Swap stories with fellow shifters at the tavern's Shifter Convention! Choose a class. We'll fill your deck with Shifters and spells.
Trivia
- This is the fifth time we've seen ShiftCon.
- ShiftCon was debuted during Tavern Brawl #55, on June 29, 2016.
How it Works
- Your deck is filled with randomized spells and several copies of Shifter Zerus.
- Instead of starting with 1 Mana Crystal, you start things off with 3!
Discuss This Week's Brawl
Head on over to our dedicated discussion thread on our Tavern Brawl forums.
Actually didn't mind this event. I had the quest to win 3 matches so I played about 7 in total I think to get them. The last game I got that Prince Liam dude. Most of the legendaries I was pulling were too high on the curve, but it still worked out.
If you constantly get bad RNG I can see it sucking, but it's the on the fly synergy you have to create that made it fun IMO.
Next brawl= Your deck is full of Chameleos
How does this game mode work again. do we build our own decks or are they pre built?
and if we do build our own, what works please?
I mean no disrespect but have you read the article?
TLDR
next time read before asking xD
How it Works
yes. my question was if any classes are better than others.
I know that your hand is filled with spells (at this point at least, I didn't at first) I was simply trying to work out which class seems to be best for this, as there are usually one or two that shine at these things
It's been months since we had a decent brawl. Shame.
Turns out coin Prince Liam on 4 is pretty broken in this brawl. Absolutely wrecked my opponent. Boring brawl over all, as always, but that highlight was fun at least.
again
i read it as shitcon
That's the more accurate name.
I dont think Blizzard cares abbout our comments tho...with a sh*t expansion theme comes a sh*t tavern brawl...seems legit XDD
Mate, this is just a normal tavern brawl. They haven't even started teasing more cards (except for the mage legendary), why would they release the themed tavern brawl now?
noo, you didnt understand me :))) i just said that they revealed a sh*ity THEMED expansion and in the same time they opened a not very liked tavern :) with no reation between them i said it :D
I honestly don’t know why they use this particular brawl so much. I see very few people who like it and a lot of people (including myself) who just quit after getting the pack. There are so many brawls players would rather see repeated.
on that note they should also make more use of the ban card function on repeat brawls since the implemented that option. Banning UI in the Blood Brawl would have vastly made a lot more decks viable.
Terrible brawl.
However, I actually had a fun game. I played as a warlock against a hunter and he played Weasel Tunneler and I drew it immediately after killing it. I was a head on the board, cleared the entire board and played Glinda Crowskin which he couldnt kill. I had better plays but I thought: "what the hell" and played a full board of weasels on the following turn. I traded them all away and on t12 I got no other than N'Zoth, the Corruptor. I traded all my weasels again and gave him about 14 weasels to topdeck.
Good times.
So after failing to win for the 10th time due to shit RNG my plan is to play the karma game. I have spent the last hour conceding at the start of turn 2 to free others from this brawl in the hope someone will eventually play it forward.
After 5 shit shows someone finally AFK'd out for my pack.
Thank you distracted-player-out-there-alt-tabbed!
As annoying this brawl can be you can also catch some very funny moments...I was down at 4hp when I got Jaraxxus.
I played him but triggered the Frozen Clone of my opponent so he got 2 copies of Jaraxxus. He also played it while having more hp. I couldn't understand the move but anyway I was the one who could laugh at the end :-)
Hey Blizzard ( ° ͜ʖ͡°)╭∩╮
Won at second game... Feels so good to be off the shi(f)t...
