Patch 11.1: Shudderwock & Lifedrinker Animation Speed Up, Arena Card Rates
A new patch has hit the live servers with a change to Shudderwock's animation speed and maximum battlecries, Lifedrinker's animation speed, and the appearance rate of some arena cards.
Official Patch Notes
Quote from BlizzardIn this small update, we’re changing a pair of Battlecry animations and tuning Arena draft rates.
Read on for details!
- Doubled the speed of Shudderwock’s Battlecry animation.
- Shudderwock now reproduces a maximum of 20 Battlecries.
- Doubled the speed of Lifedrinker’s Battlecry animation.
Arena
- Updated the appearance rate of cards to improve class balance by win percentage. For example, Paladin had a higher than average win rate, and should now be closer to average.
Bug Fixes
- Corrected the art on the Soul Assimilation Monster Hunt card.
- [Android] Updating Hearthstone via the client no longer triggers a warning about installing an app from an unknown source.
Would it not make more sense to code it similar to the Druid's Wisp summoning spells or Unleash the Hounds where all the minions appear at once?
Spreading plague is slow because after every minion is summoned it has to check again if the condition is meet. Otherwise it stops.
The others only check the condition once.
Ought to be trivial to do all the checks, computer the number, then play the animations. Tightly coupling the animation and logic may be easier to read/debug, but it's hardly necessary.
@robert_fanr - Such checks are done server-side and are practically instantaneous (as far as a human would perceive it). The client is told by the server what the board state should look like in the end long before the client has stopped animating everything.
@robert_fanr, not only what Tuhljin said (the checks are instantaneous and unrelated to animation speed), but even if they were performed AFTER each individual animation, doubling the animation speed would still halve the time until the next check and result in less sluggish overall animation.
Are u playing in a Pentium II? Do you know that's not the point here right?
What was the previous number ?
no limit
Thank you. I got 18 battlecries card in my sudderwock deck, so I guess it is fine.
Shudderwock does not repeat other Shudderwocks' battlecries because that would just create an infinite loop.
I guess it is true, as the text of Shudderwock says : « Battlecry: Repeat all other Battlecries from cards you played this game (targets chosen randomly). »
Because if Shudderwock repeated other Shudderwocks' battlecries, it would also include Shudderwock's battlecry, which includes Shudderwocks battlecry... and so on and so on, that's why Shudderwock doesn't repeat other Shudderwocks' battlecries. Ye, I kinda explained it poorly but I hope yall will understand what I am getting at.
did you see DToast game_ on first day _ was an infinite *almost loop xD
"Shudderwock now reproduces a maximum of 20 Battlecries."
are you sure its still 20, brann into yogg dubled yogs max spell count and this is basically the same, ist it?
Don't listen to those idiots, it will still be 20x2
