Patch 11.1: Shudderwock & Lifedrinker Animation Speed Up, Arena Card Rates
A new patch has hit the live servers with a change to Shudderwock's animation speed and maximum battlecries, Lifedrinker's animation speed, and the appearance rate of some arena cards.
Official Patch Notes
Quote from BlizzardIn this small update, we’re changing a pair of Battlecry animations and tuning Arena draft rates.
Read on for details!
- Doubled the speed of Shudderwock’s Battlecry animation.
- Shudderwock now reproduces a maximum of 20 Battlecries.
- Doubled the speed of Lifedrinker’s Battlecry animation.
Arena
- Updated the appearance rate of cards to improve class balance by win percentage. For example, Paladin had a higher than average win rate, and should now be closer to average.
Bug Fixes
- Corrected the art on the Soul Assimilation Monster Hunt card.
- [Android] Updating Hearthstone via the client no longer triggers a warning about installing an app from an unknown source.
Agree, is definitely a nerf.
Shudderwock hadn't a bug, that would be a fix, it was affected from bad design, so this is a nerf
A nerf is a nerf though
Im f2p now and i packed Shudderwock when theres a bunch of Legendaries that i could use instead of this card that i dont even have enough Shaman cards to pair him with. Plus i kinda hate Shaman. So im mad we cant dust him for 1600. Cant imagine those that crafted this and now see it in shite tier
Bliz, in my opinion, put the cap at 20 Battlecry effects to stop recursion via multiple plays of Shudderwock.
As I said, practically speaking, the difference between 20 and 40 or 50 battlecrys to the outcome of the game is minimal at best most likely minuscule. So, battlecrys 21-30 per Shudderwock will not effect the outcome of the game. Just eliminate the sitting through extra needless (shortened) animations.
What it does do is stop people for purposefully firing off additional Shudderwocks to be a Troll. It also speeds up the inevitable outcome of the game so people can move on to the next one with less frustration and wasted time.
So, yes, a quality of life improvement. Not a nerf. The card still functions as originally intended - for all intents and purposes. Just with less frustration.
everyon an say its a smal nerf or is a balance change it does not change anytthing
Nerf means put down the power level and that whats done
it dont matter of nobody reach 20+ battlecries its possible even if its a garbage deck to ttl it ws possible and now not so its a nerf
smal bigg it dont matter a nerf is a nerf and that meand fulle refunds of dust must be possible for the platers
just as the one above me say nerf is full dust back as simple as it is
1 shudder battle cry maybe do like 15 BC, but the second 15 battle cry from 1 minions and 15 from previous shudder, and keep counting, every time you play shudder, add all those BC to the combo.
ok
No need to come off as a patronizing SOB like you are doing now...bud
