Very good card, highly promote the strength of whirlwinds, blood razor, warpath and warrior DK and blend in very well with what warrior usually wanna do.
And very importantly, the effect is perma until the minion is dealt with and not just a battlecry. This means u do not have to activate your aoes first before playing it and that is so much flexible and harder for your opponent to deal with.
Crazy good. Not broken by any means, but stronk.
Really good in arena. I would compare it to Primordial Drake, but cheaper. This with taunt would be broken. I guess some decks will run this.
Wrong thread.
IMO Drake is better since it has no condition.
Oh, you're right. I don't know how could I miss the last line of the text... Thank you for pointing out.
this curves nicely with t8 Scourgelord Garrosh into t9 this + hero power. The card itself is not crazy broken but is not that bad. I can see this as a one of in control warrior. especially if warrior ends up going the odd route for the hero power, this combos nicely with whirlwind.
Warrior has enough early AoE in Blood Razor and the new Warpath so im not too concerned on the early aoe.
Do you really think, you will play this card on turn 7, being a warrior, and that the opponent won't remove it right away ?? This cards needs to played directly with some enabler. Stop hoping for two turns combo, it has never been a reliable strategy in this game ever.
Repetitive triggered-effect cards have to be evaluated as follow :
If both yes, then it has good chances see play in the meta
If yes, then it will surely be a meta card and its power will depend on the meta.
Nice Baku support for control decks (Tank-up warrior and odd cubelock especially)
This card seems bad, but probably not as bad as it seems, because it is probably NOT an anti-aggro tool, but an anti-anti-aggro tool.
Ever since Ungoro the meta as been more and more about taunt. Either high quality taunts or high quantity taunts. Think of how many times you have seen a warlock putting up a wall of void lord / void walkers, or druid spreading 1/5 taunts across the board, or just taunt warrior in the past year. This could be seen as a hate card for taunt walls.
This card allows you to use fan of knives to answer void walkers, or your 3/3 wolves to kill 1/5 taunts from druid, or just any of your enemy's taunts now have 2 health less when trading against your small minions. flametongue totem is known as a good card against taunts because it allows your small minions to trade up against big taunts by doing 2 more damage. This card is quite similar (but weaker?).
Of course you can also use it to trigger your acolyte of pain. This card still seems too situational, but if the taunts really got out of control, this could be a counter from the aggro decks.
But you just did
Scourgelord Garrosh has synergy with this. The Hero Power helps to set it up so it's not a dead card if you have no more AOE left in your deck. Not sure why nobody has mentioned this yet.
Because Baron Geddon does the same thing. For 7 mana and the whirlwind effect puts this card at 5 hp anyways which is the same as Geddon, without the need for 9 mana to pull it off
This is crazy, it activates every turn and also hits itself. High skill card
wow, I was looking at the image someone posted in the comments, it reads "end of the turn" and "all damaged minions"
Might be useful in a Hunter deck, where we take whatever AoE we can get. requires setup beforehand with Unleash the Hounds or something.
Worse than Geddon and WAY worse than Prim Drake
