Soooooo when are they gonna start showing us the good cards?
A poor (standard) man’s Blackwing Corruptor
It reminds me of Tol'vir Stoneshaper, with a mediocre statline, at 4 mana, but being solid if you can proc the effect. By that logic, it probably won't see play. However, this does have some notable upsides.
1. It's easier to have something in your hand than to have played it last turn, which is to say that unless you're throwing down elementals every turn, you can't be guaranteed the stoneshaper will go off.
2. You don't break the synergy playing this. In my tests with elementals, Tol'vir Stoneshaper is usually played earlier in the game, and breaks your string of 'Elementals every turn'. Dragons, meanwhile, don't care about that, so that's a win.
3. It has its own synergies, which mean that in a (Wild now) curator deck, this card supports multiple sides of the menagerie, since it is buffed by dragons, and is a beast.
As for the effect itself, it's hard to compare, but it feels like if Kor'kron elite grew up, and decided that board mattered more than face. Unfortunately, if there's nothing to clear, it's just a Lost Tallstrider, which has a fair chance of being outright worse.
Overall, I'd say it's a viable card in a dragon deck, certainly if you're on a budget, and if any sort of menagerie deck is good in wild, it will very likely see play there (Though I doubt any will be).
So far looks like this expansion is gonna give a nice amount of dust
Pretty good with The Curator in Wild
More money = Less creativity.
Many people are seeing Rush as an underwhelming mechanic. While partially true, it's still clear that it's a quite good come-back mechanic. Aggro/Midrange may often plain lose the game if they lose the initiative against another similar deck. Rush minions really help alleviate that problem without adding mass removals, which go beyond the strategy the deck should have.
However, rush minions are just vanilla minions (with no ability - for those who are not used to the term) when your deck has the board.
For the above reasons, I don't feel like rush is bad in itself, but I wonder if the impact, being situational, is actually worth the slot which could be given to more powerful or aggressive options. In the end, I think rush could be used in the end if some clearly undercosted rush minion is printed, but otherwise I see it more like an arena option.
they're idiots, let them be, having powerful boardclear that survives is really good, let's be honest charge is completely broken so the mechanic that's half a charge is actually pretty good.
Why mix beast and dragon!? No one will ever use this card because beast dragon deck will never be a thing! STOP printing useless card Blizzard! We already have a collection were 80% of the card never saw play
Well dragon cards with not tribe did see play in the past (or even in current meta just take a look at Twilight Acolyte and Netherspite Historian)
This card might be just good enough, even if beast tag is useless.
Blizzard can't make only good cards, otherwise after a certain time we will meet a 30/30 body for only 1 mana, because they need to sell packs.
I actually like how they are rushing things.
Why a worm beast has some synergy with dragon
Its a parasite that feeds on dragon keratin. The food it gets from the dragon in your hand empowers it with the attack boost and rush.
For a rare card, this is really boring and uninteresting.
Sadly Book Wyrm and Netherspite Historian are rotating out :/
Can't wait to see all those dragon decks ...when Drakonid Operative and Netherspite Historian are rotating out, Oh wait..yes indeed there won't be any (in Stand) :)
