Keleseth didn't convince me this wasn't bad, but this is kind of interesting. But I still don't think it's amazing value. 3-mana for a 2/2 is still a big set back, and if it's to play, for instance, more Overload cards to get Snowfury Giant cheaper (let's admit, that's more likely than getting Snowfury Giant down to free quick enough for this to matter), you're basically playing an understatted creature to copy an overstatted creature which will make the turn following it force you to have less mana meaning you'll play below-curve in stats again. It would just be better to play the biggest creature you can each turn.
But, despite that, I am curious about this for Shaman specifically. But I won't craft it.
Although, late game with Arcane Giants it could be very good. Only time will tell.
Yea, I don't know that it makes the card necessarily good, but certainly worth looking at. The best-case scenerio that popped into my head was with Kabal Crystal Runner. If the cost is down to 0 or 1 on the Runner (not too hard for secret mage) you are getting pretty obscene value. 3 to 5 mana for (2) 5/5s and a 2/2.
Would have been broken as shit in an old handlock deck back before the Molten Giant nerf. Antique Healbot, Mountain Giant, and even Twilight Drake would have loved it. Not too bad with Leeroy Jenkins or [card]Faceless Manipulator[/card] now that I think about it.
Holy crap, GORGONZOLA!! With cheese in hand? :)
XD
First thing that came to my mind aswell :)
One thing I forgot to mention in my earlier comment is how INSANE this will be with quest rewards. If one Megafin, Queen Carnassa or Amara, Warden of Hope wasn't enough... How about two?
Uhh...Giantfin would still only activate once. You know that, right?
Yeah, cause it fills your hand, I mean you could save it, but let's face it, random murlocs are hardly even good on their own. Queen Carnassa defininetly though.
I figured that out, but I wanted to make sure he knew what he posted.
Nope. If you drain your hand, Giantfin wil replenish it. Once more.
Do none of you see what he actually posted?! You all are talking about Megafin! All you have to do is scroll over the card to figure out you're all wrong! And you say you play the game.
So why Golden? Is that purely cosmetic?
This is for the roleplayers. x)
Yes, there are 2 reasons for it. Gorgons in the ancient greek mythology used to turn everyone who gazed them in the eyes into stone, so they were like statues after that, and her giving you a golden feels like giving you a stone or something rare. On the other hand the theme of the expansion is treasures, so it's your treasure to get your favorite hand in golden in your hand. =)
Wow, thats kinda kool man! no joke
Fun fact: this card continues the trend of all naga cards being female! Not counting adventure cards, the other three naga minions are Darkscale Healer, Naga Corsair, and Naga Sea Witch.
Problem is, she is not a naga, she is a Gorgon! =)
Naga Sea Witch is an adventure card btw.
