You are a prime example of why rank 20 and lower shouldn't talk into game balance and evaluate cards honestly. This has literally nothing to do with Mindgames and mechanics are completely different.
exactly, resurrect it's Kel Tuzad but in spell world. I don't say it's good as Sylv it's like Sylv in standart where no Sylvanas.
No more haHAA Priest!.. haHAA
Another dirty card for priest after Potion of Madness and Entomb? Why they try make this game so disgusting?
Why is the card discussion-thread-button linked to a facebook page O.o
Edit: Ah its the Chinese (?) reveal video! You wanted to post it under the button, but failed, I guess :P
Actually, this is the case where I want it to be random for less mana (like, 4). Against control, you can easily reduce their board to one and at least you can play it against midrange and aggro (still die). And would generate value with Lyra instead of locking in to your hand.
As it is, well... Priest still don't have removal for the 4 attack dragons (if not dragon priest, so maaaaaybe 1?
Priest's difficulty to deal with 4 attack minions is an integral part of their character, like druid's lack of removal and rogue's lack of healing. Each class has and should have their own strengths, weaknesses and themes.
Druid's lack of removal? loooooooooooooooooooooooool
Entomb, Shrinkmeister (and Mind Control) disagrees. And by the way, that identity makes no sense, it defines nothing except that "I'm the niche boi". Their inarguable identity is heal and the way how they utilize big minions (like, with heal). And unlike rogue who got healbot, these tools were only accessible to Priest, specifically made for them, not just picked from the neutral pool.
So the "4 attack difficulty" is not integral at all, it's just a tool that Priest kind of missing at the moment. They got tools earlier, now getting and will be getting effective tools against it.
Then how come two of priest's oldest, most powerful, and representative cards (Shadow Word: Pain and Shadow Word: Death) are specifically designed to not reach 4 attack minions? It was an intended weakness in priest's removal ability, and has become a part of the class.
That's not to say priest can't remove these cards; they can use the cards you gave (Entomb, Shrinkmeister and Mind Control). But it's definitely difficult for them, since it costs more cards/mana.
Well, which of them should reach the 4 attack? If you analize those cards you can easily see that both of them would be OP as hell if they would reach the 4 attack.
Shadow word: Death already powerful and efficient against any big creature, giving you almost a full turn to operate while you effectively negated you opponent's whole last turn. For a 3 mana hard removal it actually has a very little downside. Compare to like Mulch, which operate with a way more severe downside with the same cost or see how much the built in removal costs in BGH (with way more restrictions). So it's just powerful enough to not loose up on it's restrictions more.
Same applies to Shadow word: Pain, for 2 mana, it basically removes every low attack minion, sometimes over 4 and more mana (like, Water elemental) and it's a hard removal so absolutely unaffected by how much HP do they have.
If you wanted any of them to reach out to 4 attack minions you make them OP or you should make them +1 mana, which overall decreases their effectivity. Because sometimes you have to kill a mana wyrm in turn 2 and still feels better to do it for +1 mana than +2.
So, IMO this is how designwise they remain this way. But as I said, priest had ways in the past to efficiently deal with 4 attack creatures (Like, Shrinkmeister+Cabalshadow priest to steal Ysera and they kind of can this with the potion+Cabal if the would be not that much of an aggro push).
Wtf it's epic? How this can be better than Entomb NotLikeThis
Entomb was obtained from an adventure where the gem of rarity means almost nothing imo. Cards like Entomb and Avenge are worth so much more than Common.
Rarity doesn't indicate power (except for arguably legendaries).
Hmm... To Embrace Darkness or Embrace the Shadow... or maybe to Renounce Darkness?
... Renounce Shadow confirmed?
lol
The card is trash that will see absolutely zero play even in Standard (besides initial experimenting for a couple of days). Mark my words.
Mind control doesn't get played, and this garbage will, you think?
