posted a message on Golden Whizbang the Wonderful

I wanted golden Whizbang as well and lucky lucky got it from one of my packs. Played two games with him, both the shaman decks (I think they where, maybe the same as the first time hearthstone suggested I should craft it, the second time it didn't, saw a lot of different cards both playthroughs so that was nicec.) and to have a golden deck is really nice and adds something for me. It is a fun little card, you can have golden decks till the end of hearthstone for only 3200 dust and it is also a good craft for playing some cards or decks you can't or don't want to craft.

posted a message on How many packs??

130 from preorder, 3 free, 12 from gold, so about 145 packs, have around 4k dust as well and the two golden legendaries  (which I probably dust, although I'm thinking to keep Whizzbang the Wonderfull if I get him golden) and a free legendary.

Looking forward to this expansion, wishlist for legendaries are Dr. Boom, Mecha'thun, Whizzbang, Ziliax and both priest legendaries (as I have a complete priest collection).

posted a message on Magic Mirror Encounter Bug

    Hi all,

Noticed this bug (probably due to Boomsday project update, as it not mentioned earlier). Magic Mirror Normal mode, now plays as heroic mode.

Saw a mention on it on the bug report forum from hearthstone, but I thought I mention it here, for the people who still want to play it or something.

posted a message on New Card Reveal - Mecha'thun

Priest lot of draw battlecries and spells, also under 4 mana. Coffin Crasher and maybe the new deathrattle reducer to get mecha-thun out early. Use Hemet and stuff to thin out deck early, using twilight's call and spirit lash when deck and hand are empty, profit.

posted a message on New Priest Card Reveal - Cloning Device

looks okay but is a classical greed priest win more card and probably to slow, Shadow Visions has this spot covered. I see some potential in a big priest type with Psychic Scream, you can fish for your own minions, but meh.

posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition 8.02 - Final Poll

I voted for Siddle the summoner (although silence makes it a bit op). Assault catapult for it's flavor, same for than-05. My favourites are Defin the Ageless as a type of tech-card, although maybe hand should also be added for it to be a really good tech-card. Twilight Cantacle is also a favourite, really like the deck-design options you can have with that card.

posted a message on New Card Rarities: Treasure Cards!

Interesting concept and probably would work on low ranks. A lot of times when I am playing to get quests as quickly as possible (20 secrets, so many [class] cards/minions) I tend to stuff a deck full of that type and try to play as many as possible, not aiming for a win. Still more often than not I can win and especially on the winning turn it is handy to play some cards to further complete the quest. I see the same for this type of cards, especially the cheap ones or the battlecries. Run a view and play them when you have lethal or can work around the downsides and have some extra's after your win. Nice concept!

posted a message on Use for Lorewalker Cho?

You could look indeed at some wowhobbs vids, uses it in combo decks for priest and every deck if he has the change, but hobbs is above anything else a player just for fun, not really competitive, he now also uses Witches cauldron a lot in this expansion. His statement is that he plays Cho mostly because when he started with Hearthstone, games where cho randomly popped up where really fun for him. In Un'goro meta he had quite some success with a priest cho deck but never broke to legend. He is a nice streamer and positive guy to watch and got me in to the fun/random side of hearthstone,  but don't expect pro plays and meta-breaking cho decks.

Personally I like the card and I think it could have some place in minionbased decks, maybe Kibler's elemental mage, which only runs 4 spells I believe, although with Shimmering Tempest and Ruby Spellstone, so there is spell generation. It is an interesting card because it limits the options for your opponent to use spells to remove it and other minions.

posted a message on Why does Blizzard never buff cards?

The whole reason Naga Sea Witch is nerfed, is actually because it got a unintended buff for playing giants, when they tried to fix the consistency of mana effects from cards. Before that change I have never seen that card being played competitively, although it would maybe unnerfed had a place in some 'big' decks, but those only came after sea witch was rotated.

I think a lot of people have said it, it is hard to balance cards and bad cards need to exist for good cards to shine. I'm also convinced that some bad cards will become good or better over time with new expansions and synergies. Purify was deemed very bad, but still found a place in silence priest, which was not a god tier deck but saw play. Buffing also means a card can become the next cancer and ending up getting nerfed again, which is also a bit besides the point.

Nice Harry Potter reference. Inspiring and well written. Love to see more. I am trying to rank but still find it hard to do, I don't like the grinding part.

posted a message on Hearthstone Cosplay Contest - Win a Trip to Gamescom and a Replica Aluneth!

Bit weird they don't mention right away that it is for European citizens only and why are Israel and Australia excluded than? I personally think a Israelian Cosplay of Dollmaker (I'm not yourrr toy) with an Angry Chicken plush would certainly win.

But nice to see a cosplay contest, love to see people getting creative and I will follow this.

posted a message on Cards that are getting worse with each expansion.

    Quote from thebitterfig >>

Just starting a test now: How does Malchazaar interact with Baku if they're both in the same deck?  So far, 4 games where I've had Baku trigger, three times with the Prince animation happening first, so either I've gotten lucky and Prince hasn't added Even cards, Prince won't add Even legendary minions, or Baku still triggers if Prince adds Even legendary minions.  Obviously, 4 games is a small sample size, but still.

It was stated that Malchezaar always triggers after the effect of baku. So even if he adds even cards to the deck, Baku will trigger.

posted a message on Disenchanting Wild Cards

If you want to play standard mainly and can use the dust, then I would dust some wild cards, especially the ones you didn't use in the standard rotation. If you want to play wild it isn't wise to dust them, but even then you can make a choiche which cards you have and don't play and if you can dust them.

I still think Felsoul Inquisitor has some merits in Lady in White/inner fire priest, over the taunt mech, but I haven't played much with it.
