I really like this, but I wanted to question the use of the secret.  It is interesting to have a class that only has one secret therefore telegraphing exactly what the secret is, but at 10 mana, I don't think it would quite work.  Compare it to Ice Block for a moment.  When taking lethal damage, Ice Block makes the hero immune, so you can't continue to do damage.  This secret resets the health to 15, but does not make the hero immune.  This can be better or worse depending on the situation obviously, but Ice Block is only 3 mana.

You can get this card out using a mad scientist, but I just feel like 10 mana for the normal cost is way too much for what it does, especially considering the other player will know exactly what it is.

Hmm. Thinking about it, I agree with you. 10 mana does seem like a stretch. Perhaps 8-9? Then you can at least make steps to prevent yourself from taking fatal damage. The problem I have is it feels a bit too much like Jaraxxus then. I'll change it to 8. At least then Kezan Mystic can be used on it.

Also: I feel like I've pretty much finished with this expansion, but I'd still like everyone's thoughts on cards, combos, etc. Treat it as if these cards were actually in the game, and maybe that way we can 'test' them without actually having them in the game! There's a list of potential decks on the first page.

Next Up: Shaman! Then Rogue! Then Paladin! Then Priest! Then...

Perhaps! My only concern with that would be how that works like Lorewalker Cho in the tutorial: "You can't touch me!" but instead of just having to kill minions, you have no control over it and have to wait a turn, at which point you could be dead.

Speaking of the nether, I found a way to make Twisting Nether relevant and potentially good!

    Nether Ray

What do you think? It's completely useless unless you play it before Twisting Nether, at which point you'll then actually have some board presence!

I need little feedback for my card, cause looks like people don't really like it

It actually seems like a really solid card to me - maybe people just aren't going for Druid cards this week? I dunno, it's a very reasonable legendary. I guess because Druid of the Flame isn't a highly rated card anyway people aren't enthused by the effect? Maybe if it was Druid of the Claw it would be more appealing.

While I agree with you somewhat in terms of your second point about diversity of card design, I'm not sure the effect I was going for could've been achieved any other way.

In regards to the second point: While stealth may be a core keyword for Rogue, it's not Unique - the unique keyword for Rogue is Combo. Warlock has a Stealth minion (Blood Imp). There isn't a LOT of overlap between classes with specific keywords, but Enrage does seem to me to be at least somewhat friendly to some Warlock minions - perhaps not all, but demons are very temperamental!

I'd go for it, seeing as it's used so heavily with demon buffs etc. There's also Demonwrath which can be quite important if you end up running a demon deck.

So I've done some rebalancing to a few cards - and added a new legendary!

Collidus the Warp-WatcherVoid SlipHekar the Houndmaster

I took your advice on Collidus - except now that the mana cost is down it shouldn't be a 4/8. While the 2 extra health might seem like a big deal, when you're that far into the game it could get taken out by a Giant anyway. It also provides the 4/4 body (or max. 6/6 and a 4/4 on that turn), so it shouldn't be OP.

I increased the cost of Void Slip, changed the artwork, and clarified how it works. The text fits!

So this minion should be called "Hakkar the Houndmaster" but Blizz messed up and made two major lore characters called Hakkar - one of them is a raid encounter and everyone knows about the Corrupted Blood incident, but Hakkar the Houndmaster is a bit obscure, so I changed the spelling but the pronunciation is similar. This minion is a bit like Hogger, but if you place it behind taunts it could be useful spell damage gain.

These changes will be included in the OP - check it out!

posted a message on [speculation] Deducing the next hero skins

    • Shaman: Farseer Nobundo - as shaman legendaries seem to be focused on the elemental lords, I expect he won't be a legendary and will instead be a hero.

    • Priest: Zabra Hexx, Rastakhan, or Sen'jin. I think a horde type priest would be good, and as Witch Doctor probably isn't going to be its own class, as we've seen Vol'jin as a class legendary for priest, I think it's reasonable to get one of these as the next priest hero.

    • Warlock: It would make sense for the warlock hero to be someone like Varimathras, seeing as he is not really well in with the Burning Legion anymore, and has been 'forced into service' with the forsaken.

    • Paladin: Yrel. Duh. Not a chance that it could be anyone else. I refuse to believe it.

    • Rogue: I can only see this being Garona, as the alternative is Wrathion, who's a dragon and isn't really listed as a Rogue anywhere. I mean, can't be sure though.

    • Druid: I'll go with everyone else and say Hamuul.

For me, it's a nice granola bar and some water if I'm doing it in the morning for some dailies. If I'm going hardcore, I'll go relax in an outside lounger and listen to restful music until I'm in the zone. Then I'll put Guile's Theme/Spark Mandrill Theme on and really go for it. Popcorn helps in those situations.

Late at night, I would usually just have a lot of miscellaneous food items by my computer, like biscuits and milk or some coffee. Not a big fan of soft drinks :P

I'd wager the reason is that even if your opponent can't effectively 'use' coins, on their turn they will use them no matter what they have in their hand, in order to draw real cards. Since you'll need to constantly be casting spells, you'll run out of steam quite quickly and Gallywix will quickly become a liability, only milling your opponent for maybe 2 or 3 cards. I don't play a lot of Rogue, but that's my reasoning.

Something worth remembering when both creating cards and voting: Enrage is warrior and neutral exclusive keyword. This means that for example a Warlock card with enrage would NEVER EVER become a real card in the game. So please refrain from creating and voting on such cards for the sake of realism.

Keep in mind that Warrior only has two Enrage cards: The rest are more focused on "when this minion takes damage" as a thematic thing. The rest are neutral. Given that changing entries isn't really a great option, are you sure it's a good idea to be encouraging that? I mean, I'm all for adherence to a specific theme, but if all you have is warrior class cards, it makes the competition a little less diverse. Plus the fact that "Enrage" as a mechanic hasn't really been well developed.

posted a message on Mage Expansion set

I have some recommendations (by the way, it's great to see more class specific expansions):

    • Try taking a look at http://www.hearthhead.com/cards. It's a collection of all of the current hearthstone cards, sorted alphabetically by all sorts of different criteria. If you want to make a certain card, perhaps Dranei Frost Mage, more balanced, you could take a look at A Guide To Card Creation. It has a link to the customhearthstone reddit's entry on minion balance. It also has guides for card aesthetics. A good idea is to try and compare the effect of your card with a similar effect already in the game, or cards that have elements of that effect. For this card, a good comparison would be Blizzard. It's a spell, but it has similar effects. I'd say in order to balance this card, you'd need to make it either 5 mana, or 1 attack, 5 health and deathrattle. The reason for that is that otherwise it's just essentially Turn 3 Frost Nova into this card, removing the need for Blizzard altogether and also providing a solid body. If it's 5 mana however, it takes the place of blizzard and stops you from gaining ridiculous tempo through playing on curve. With 1 attack, 5 health and deathrattle, it's lAnother point totess of a threat to your opponent and attack is more important in the early to mid game. If you can control how it dies, however, it can work out in your favour but requires clever play. That's what you usually want from Hearthstone cards: the encouragement of new decks and play styles that synergize well and are not overpowered.

posted a message on Warlock Expansion Pack - "Call of the Void"

Okay, so I've completely reworked Collidus as a card, and I've gotten rid of the idea of RNG buffs, because I kind of want this to be a skill deck, I guess. This is like Lord Jaraxxus kind of in terms of how badass it is. But it is also subject to removal (Priest can Abusive Sergeant/Inner Fire + Shadow Word: Death, Mage can Polymorph, Hunter can Hunter's Mark, Warrior can Execute, Paladin can Blessing of Kings + Blessed Champion, Shaman can Hex, Rogue can Vanish, etc. etc.). However if it is left alone it can basically win you the game, like how Mal'Ganis and Jaraxxus are game finishers.

    Collidus The Warp-Watcher

Basically it's a Turn 10 Warlock Deathwing/Legendragon equivalent. Ysera or Malygos cost 1 less for 2 extra health. But if you can get this minion out cheaply (Summoning Portal + Summoning Portal, or Voidcaller) you can 2-3TK. Life Tap with this in play gives you a Watcher. Damage yourself again (Flame Imp, Darkbomb, Elven Archer, etc. etc.) and you get a 6/6 and a 4/4. Do some more crazy jazz and you might taunt up those new big minions. They become HUUUUGE and a pretty big deal for your opponent - they'll have to take some damage and remove this, or try and board clear, somehow.

So this has 21 stat points: 14 from the health+attack, 9 from the Floating Watcher summon I guess. It has 2 extra points which makes it a viable legendary I think. This is a better direction for this legendary, as Warlocks are all about BIG legendaries. 10 mana though, so the incentive is to synergize with Voidcaller basically - but drawing this (as it's a legendary) will be a little difficult, but you do have your hero power.

While a cool concept, I recommend making it a 2/6 or a 3/5 (yes, Sen'jin Shieldmasta will be unhappy, but it's a class card, so...)

Thanks for all the comments, everyone - I've rebalanced it to a 2/6. Hopefully it's not underpowered now.

I see that you based your stats off a mogushan warden. Only problem with that is the Warden is unused for a reason: That 1 attack doesn't do anything except stall a turn at turn 4. Consider making it a 2/5 at least.I think the concept is good, just the stat distribution is a little off.

I see what you mean. It's true it doesn't have much removal utility, but I'm thinking that you would buff this card more often than not. Also, for an enrage card the health is pretty important.
