posted a message on E. Malone Reveals Three New Cards!

Only 3 more adapts?  Windfury, Stealth, another +3 attack, GG.  Taunt, Can't target, another +3 health, have fun.

I don't see the problem, especially since I expect the paladin quest to be something super easy with summoning Silver Hand Recruits.

Thanks.  He definitely got it via toughsteal...

brann bronze head is a very good idea. How can I get him? Only crafting?

League of Explorers Adventure, Wing 2.  You actually can't craft him.  The adventure is definitely worth the playthrough and has tons of useful cards.  Just remember they rotate out of Standard when the Spring expansion releases.  Brann is especially good right now though.  A huge portion of the Gadgetzan cards have battlecries.

posted a message on Share your Gadgetzan Pack Opening Screenshots here!

Yeah, that explains a lot.  In my 50, in addition to at least 20 Kabal Chemists + 1 golden, I got 10 Grimestreet Informants + 1 golden.  Meanwhile 0 of some rares and even commons I actually wanted.  I thought it was just my usual crappy luck.

I am not a happy camper, Blizzard.  I expect they'll fix it before EU release.  I doubt they'll do anything to compensate the people that got screwed.

Is it normal to get 9+ copies of one common or 5+ copies of one rare and 0 of another?  Because that always happens to me.

Hand buff decks will barely see play after meta settles.

I have no doubt there will be better decks, they did release some pretty busted stuff, but I wouldn't count hand buff decks out.  I expect you can build an Aggro deck that quickly transitions into Midrange, dropping board-swinging tempo plays and making Aoe and damage-based ineffective. Dispatch Kodo is insane.  It's already basically pre-nerf Keeper of the Grove.  You get one buff on it and it's a better, cheaper Fire Elemental with better weighted stats for trading.  Get it buffed big, like from Don Han'Cho, and you can burst someone's face in.  Get one buff on Fight Promoter, it triggers itself, and it's better than pre-nerf Ancient of Lore.
I think its main problem is consistency, you do have to have the card you ideally want buffed in hand, but I think most people will mitigate that with Tracking and early game draw like Loot Hoarder or Discover like Jeweled Scarab or the new Grimestreet Informant for situational help.  I have to admit I don't really metagame, so I can't predict how well it will do against the other archetypes.  You're probably right and won't do that well, Jade decks might do the same thing better and it loses hard to face decks, I just thought the design deserved a little more credit.

I think that's more math than most players want to do for a casual brawl.

I'm all for random, but this is a little too random.  Assuming you even have minions you can play early, one person could kill their own minion and the other person get Call of the Wild and proceed to wreck face.  I recall Yogg was annoying for a similar reason.

posted a message on Maximum deck size?

Mechanics question.  So with Druid's infinite combo with Jade Idol, is there a maximum deck size programmed into the game?  What about a maximum game time before it ends in a draw?  What happens if 2 Druids just keep cycling Jade Idols a billion times and never go face?  Is this the end of Hearthstone as we know it?  Is this what incites the Apocalypse?  Brode, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!

I still disagree that the old RNG was easier to predict.  The new type still has rather limited probabilities, like only cards from 1 class, only Mage spells, only one of the cards left in their deck.  The old kind was double-random.  Random damage, random targets in Boom's case, it could deal lethal or kill 2 high-value minions or even set off their boom bot and kill you!  For Shredder it's a random minion that might have a really beneficial or detrimental effect.  Which was the same reason Yogg was a problem.  I'm glad to be rid of that.

I just want some less rng and some more skill... But the dev team want the game to be a coin-flip for some reason..

It's a card game. Learning to manage RNG is skill.
Asking less RNG is asking lower skillcap.
Yea, and i like rng - lately it has just been a bit too much..
Also less rng = higher skillcap... (for example chess = no rng, high skillcap)
More rng = lower skillcap... (example; flipping a coin = only rng, low skillcap/none)
What is this "lately" you speak of?  Dr. 7 and Piloted Shredder are gone from Standard.  Two of the best and most widely-used neutral legendaries, Sylvanas and Rangaros, have been in the game since its inception.  Now that the Yogg-fest is over I only really see RNG in Mage spells, Warlock discard, and to an extent Res Priest.  C'thun when he actually drops I guess?  Nothing really game-changing.

I personally am having a blast and actually keep playing after my quests are done for once.  Discover is a great mechanic, RNG done right.  Between that and cards with "Draw a card you might not normally" like Shifting Shade and Swashburglar it feels like there are a lot more options and opportunities for smart plays based on what you get, rather than pure RNG.  I love when my opponent plays those cards too because it's almost like they're not just playing a netdeck on autopilot.  I would argue that makes the skillcap higher than without any RNG.
