Spiritsinger umbra is fun in a variety of deathrattle decks (its not competitive). The quest is doing okayish in some wild decks. Personally umbra you can play in all classes in wild, so for fun you will gain the most mileage.
Also, if you keep track of your pity timers... you can see how far along you were on the timers for the various sets to help decide if it is worth it... if say you are above 20 or 30 on any of the sets, you might very well get a legendary... if you are below 10 on all the sets you likely won't get anything... so just maybe might help some of y'all decide if this is worth it
I found out if you gift it to someone before you buy it, you can gift it again to them as many times as you want. It only dissapears in the store when you have bought it for yourself. I bought it twice for my brother, so lucky him... but only got it once for myself. Also, a great set of packs for wild players... good value on packs.
dungeon run was great but monster hunt was too much. It appears to a certain player and having to spend an hour on a run that you might lose to in rng is frustrating, and that is how monster hunt was. I havent even finished the quests for monster hunt, i just hated it. I think its good to vary expansions. In the old days expansions had deck building bosses but also had eaay puzzles for the bonus cards in each wing. I think puzzle labs is like the harder version of those puzzles. Plus for a science themed expansion to have puzzles to make you think is a great addition. In the end hearthstone needs to appeal to a broad player base and not just high skilled people with hours upon hours to play each day. Most people who play are not that skilled and or do not have much time. This expansions content has been pretty good.
The problem with Whizbang is trade your constructed (Standard or Wild), optimal deck for something inferior with 0 pay of, don't make any sense, a very litlle advantage should have for that, for example, your hero power can be used twice for turn or something like that.
The argument the card is good for new players is weak, with 1.600 dust spend crafting this terrible card the new player can make a very good aggro warlock or rogue deck much better than a random recipe.
The value of this card is it allows new players who dont know how to deck build or are not comfortable or ready to deck build to try out themes in the latest expansion. deck recipes are not made for the experienced player but for those who want ideas and themes to try. This lets a new player try some themes before they invest their dust into one. A new player can play whizzbang at the start of an expac and go wow i like this treant druid deck, so now they craft cards to make it and make it better. Not every legend should exist to make powerful decks, augment wild or allow interesting deck building. If you dont like the card, move on and find those you like.
A goblin holding a pear... confirmed! Its goblins vs pears! Will the pears be too healthy for the goblins diets? We can only hope, we can only hope. In the wise words of fungamancer, "Mushroom power!"
from someone who plays wild for fun and not competitive then kazakus is the most fun and versatile on that list, can be used in 3 classes... with brann or any bounce it can generate mad value. The value is fun and strategic in picking which cost and what effects.
If you dont like arena my advice is play with the free ticket till you get 2 losses then wait till the event ends...you will get a free ticket and they will retire your deck giving you the pack and rewards as ifyou lost for the number of wins you had.
You should probably do packs if you are after something, free to play and not really good at the game. Alot of people will disagree with me but each win someone has someone loses which means most players mathematically will not get over 3 wins per run. You break even 3 to 4 wins range, so unless you are better than average you are better off buying packs. I know most who actively comment in here are above average to legend skill level but unless you are that level only play arena for the fun of it and not to min max your gold. If you have everything you want you should hoard gold for next expansion.
