Looking at this card more closely, this card is strictly better than arcane intellect in a deck with 20 minions and 10 spells, because it will average drawing two cards in that scenario. Arcane intellect is currently on the power curve and is generally considered to be a good card in mage.

So, it won't be run in every deck, but if you can figure out how to make a mage deck work with at least 20 minions, this is pretty much an autoinclude from what I can tell. I think its great.

Hmm, this could be decent in an Aluneth deck, giving you a way to draw minions immediately with no extra up front mana cost. Comboing two legendary cards is a bit inconsistent though.

This is pretty different from Barnes. The power of Barnes was the ability to stack your deck so that you only have a few minions you can possibly draw with it, guaranteeing a very powerful effect with 4 mana. Since you can draw spells with this card, you need to either get lucky with this card (making it not consistent), or stack your deck with minions you don't mind getting 1/1 copies of (limiting your ability to draw super well with it).

The best application may not be in getting powerful effects, but in filling your board with 1/1s. The unimpresive stat line and the lack of draw from the card itself makes it hard to use effectively though, I'm not really sure if its going to work.

Huhhh, very interesting. The card doesn't look super strong at first glance, but warrior has a ton of cards that can deal single points of damage, making this a threat if the opponent doesn't kill it quickly.

Best case scenario its a 7 mana 3/8: deal 24, which is insane. More likely, its a 7 mana 3/8: deal 9, which... honestly isn't that bad. It would be better if it prioritized targeting random enemy minions though, 9 damage to face really isn't that good for the kind of deck it will want to be in.

At first glance, this looks like one of the most broken cards ever released.

I... Really don't know what else to say about it. I hope you playtested this blizzard.

I've been experimenting with various control hunter builds, and this really fits right in to that. Even if control hunter is still not viable, it's also not that bad in aggro or midrange.

Honestly think this is great, because every time I've tried to play control hunter, I've realized, "wait, if I lose the board, I have absolutely no way to take it back, because my best AOE is a 6 mana consecrate." This provides a version of aggressive AOE and efficient trading. Its limitation is that its a legendary, meaning you can only have one of this card in your deck, which will make it harder for this card to shore up a lot of hunter's weaknesses at the moment.

If I get this in a pack, I definitely will play around with this card. The fact that any crab counters it though... actually does hurt it, because if this card actually gets good, it will be able to be countered immediately.

How does this card work with the curator though? I know this will be wild only, but does the curator read one at a time, mainly, it will search for a beast, then a dragon, then a murloc? In that case, it could theoretically draw this and another beast, or it could draw this and not draw the other beast? Or would it search for the single tags first, then draw the remainder, therefore ensuring it would draw this and your other beast in your deck?

I feel your frustration, I share it as well. Unfortunately, we can't stop people from playing what they want to play, we just need to try to find the right decks to beat these meta decks. One advantage experimenters have is that we can adapt to the meta and try to play a deck that counters the decks we're facing. Can we do it fast enough? Probably not, we're facing a meta that's developed over millions of test games, and we don't have enough processing power to figure out how to design our own deck to beat it fast enough. Still, we can have fun.

More cards like curious glimmeroot would be appreciated though. I always feel a sense of accomplishment when an opposing priest guesses wrong, that happens probably more than half the time when I play my Aluneth/Medivh/Rummaging Kobold/Deck of wonders/Togwaggle deck. The deck is terrible, but its definitely the most fun I've had in hearthstone in a while. There's nothing quite like beating down a control warlock with dead mans hand, upgrading your aluneth, discounting your hand with leyline manipulator, drawing six cards from your opponents deck with togwaggle, then winning with a couple of late game fireballs.

posted a message on Blizzard is going to print legendary spells

Hmm, the power level is balanceable, I'm not sure legendary cards are always necessarily better than epics. The best card of the last expansion was probably ultimate infestation, followed by shadowreaper anduin and spreading plague. If Blizzard prints a legendary spell that's too powerful, that's an issue, but I'm not sure that the fact its a spell is an issue, its the fact that its too powerful.

Blizzard has printed plenty of useless legendaries before that you wouldn't want one of in a deck, let alone two, so they're quite capable of doing that.

posted a message on New Neutral Minion - Dragonhatcher

After thinking about this card a lot, I'm going to make a bold prediction and say that this card is going to be insane, and is the most underrated card of the set, for one reason: a big dragon priest deck.

This card is actually insane when pulled off of barnes or shadow essence, and you can have two of them in deck. This card, ysera, both deathwings, malygos, maybe even primordial drake if you run silence effects in your deck, can be amazing pulls for 4 or 6 mana. Dealing with this card and a full dragon on turn 4 or turn 6 is really hard to do (if pulled from shadow essense, its a 5/5 that recruits a dragon every turn for 6 mana, which is insane), and has crazy snowball potential. The deck could even run an inner fire/divine spirit combo for quick kills, given that dragons have so much health. Nethersprite historian can maybe be used to pull out smaller dragons for earlier turn plays if your combo doesn't work out, and the rest of the deck can be removal. Once one of these guys die, getting it off of eternal servitude is also pretty great.

This is probably a subpar 9 mana play, but might be really good with barnes and shadow essense.
