Or you could play the same card next turn and get some huge beast value. Hunter already had a card very similar, albeit, maybe a little worse, but it really was just a waste of a legendary
Or you could <gasp> not play it on curve!
Played later in the game, you have one extra mana leftover, better stats, AND you're not limited to Beasts.

Playable if it was neutral. As it's a Hunter card, I don't think we'll be seeing much of it.
Every expansion sees a few half-assed control Hunter cards but they've yet to put a real effort into it. Now we have "start of the game" as a mechanic, they should give us something which replaces Hunter's hero power from the start of the game to something that Isn't direct face damage.

That is basically what candleshot is for. You get three mage pings for one mana. In control, the Hunter hero power is pretty good for just ending the game over time if you can stall it out.
This is a pretty nutty control card that works with specific existing hunter synergies. Most of the cards Hunter already uses (a lot of their 1-4 drops, their deathrattle cards, the spell stone) have stellar synergy with this card. Between the secrets, Kathrena, this and candleshot I think that control hunter has a chance of finally being decent if they introduce some better neutral counterplay to Voidlord.
I shouldn't even be surprised by the community's inability to evaluate cards anymore. This is one of the most powerful cards in Hunter's entire arsenal and yet people are making and upvoting dust jokes. Congrats, you don't understand tempo.
Exactly this, people just don't have a clue so they make dust jokes hoping to get upvoted which of course people oblige thinking it's funny. I too think this card is very strong and people just aren't thinking about it properly, then again, this is hearthpwn community after all. lol
Solid body, and enables everything to hit the field and immediately start wresting control of the board. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a worthwhile include to most midrange hunter decks, as well as "controll" hunter decks.
sersiously thats how it feels for everything lol it takes within mins...OMG THIS SUCKS day later someone makes something back breaking with it OMG U DUMB IF YOU DONT PLAY THIS
interesting legendary. the removal of beast as a requisite is good. Definitely isn't a smorc card like Tundra Rhino.
Just realized a potential with Grim Patron. Although hunter lack any self damage spells/minions like what was Patron Warrior, so likely doesn't end up in being a real thing.
3/6 for is a premium stat line for 4 mana. You are playing it early unlike priest of the feast. 6 health means your opponent has to pay way too much early game to get rid of it. This card's power level is strong.
I've been experimenting with various control hunter builds, and this really fits right in to that. Even if control hunter is still not viable, it's also not that bad in aggro or midrange.
Honestly think this is great, because every time I've tried to play control hunter, I've realized, "wait, if I lose the board, I have absolutely no way to take it back, because my best AOE is a 6 mana consecrate." This provides a version of aggressive AOE and efficient trading. Its limitation is that its a legendary, meaning you can only have one of this card in your deck, which will make it harder for this card to shore up a lot of hunter's weaknesses at the moment.
I think the main thing that prevents this card from being super good is that it doesn't say "Your minions have Rush." If Shaw could also be used to fight for the board, he'd be fantastic, and really feel like a Legendary.
Its got potential... I think its far from OP b/c at best its a strong board control card. It will require quick removal or become problematic but 6 health isn't impossible to deal with in one turn. Its playable but kinda meh for me.

Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.

Necrotic Geist. Called it.
Deathrattle Hunter? Imagine Savannah Highmane or Cursed Disciple with rush?

This is either going to be dumpster-tier in a spell-oriented meta or meta-defining.
In the end, it won't matter; Paladin will still kill you by t5.
Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP

not too bad because solid statline but situational + singleton (while hunter dont have card draw) make it unplayable in current hunter deck
only viable play probably is fetch it with Guild Recruiter (5 mana 3/6 + 2/x deal 2 damage)
Could Patron Hunter potentially be a thing? Mega lulz I really hope so.

has some ridiculous potential with deathrattle minions, especially in wild where the best ones are.
rush sylvanas? rush haunted creeper? rush everything that comes out of eggs or highmanes or kindly grandmothers.
Well, Savannah Highmane is still the best legendary for hunter Kappa

The main problem of this card is the rarity. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Obviously very good. a must-kill minion with perfect stats that's standalone good without requiring any synergy.
