Soggoth problem is he occupies a very competitive slot. There are some great 9 mana cards that have a bigger impact like ysera, cenarius, arch thief, alexstraza. On top of that Druid has ancient of war in faction which is pretty much all the taunt you need. I would personally save the dust. I have golden soggoth but only because I pulled him crackin packs. He looks very shiny but he's probably the first thing to go when I need dust.
isnt the emperor the actual problem ? how he has managed to evade the nerf bat to this point is beyond me. poor warsong commander...never to be played again.
secret paladin imo has just hit at the right time. warriors are all playing around with varian and not playing patron which has 6 whirlwinds effects and priest who normally feast on tokens with pyromancers are all dragon priests. no one seems to be playing oil rogue either massive blade flurries, spell damage fans etc and tempo plays with violet teacher to clear the board are all good vs secret paladin.
my problem with wilfred in the standard handlock has been he isnt saving me much on mountain and moltens because they are already cheap so im thinking his place in greedy demon/dragon control lock that is not running giants.
the worst thing about this card is its dare i say... uninspired. dragon's breath at least has a mechanic to play around with can generate value/and or tempo.
how about a 1 mana card that does 8 damage to minion if that minion took damage from a fire spell or hero ability that turn ? cmon blizzard, you can do better !
the only thing that really interests me about lava shock is if it makes earth elly playable. I do think fire guard destroyer is important. Turn 5 earth elly they Bgh and you clear up BGH with lava shock and follow up with fire guard on your turn six. I guess it's get you out of Jams when you have to unload all your overload stuff in one turn but usually when you do that you lose because you had to dump your hand or you already won.
maybe a 1-of as your 3rd fireball. i think its high mana cost is a victim of the sorcerers apprentice who is already the main culprit in those crazy burst turns mages can have where you go from 20+ life to zero to the mage vomiting an entire hand of burn spells in your face.
the pain of the grind is the game for me. with nothing to chase i'm pretty sure i would not play hearthstone. each arena i do i savor opening that pack because its probably something i dont have or giving me the dust to craft something im missing from classic.
i used to play duel of champions. i ended up buying a couple hundred dollars in cards and as soon as i did i had everything i needed at the time and the game lost all of its appeal. lol so i guess if ever want to quit hearthstone i should just start ponying up real money :)
savjz, dog, kolento, sjow are the only hearthstone streams i watch now. if you haven't watched dog stream you really should. he is a legit player and his chat isn't poison ....yet.
while huntertaker blowout games weren't the best i do think this game desperately needs a couple of viable aggro decks that are not just different iterations of zoo to punish ramp druids for being greedy otherwise they just get to cram their deck full of late game and dominate. gutting the buzzard was bad and i hope they make it playable again at some point.
savage roar is the god card. id actually like to see savage roar get a slight nerf and savagery/bite and claw get more powerful. those 3 cards are basically non factors because savage roar does it all.
i think clearing the first watcher is pretty important. ive found when i do that and still have something of a board i do ok vs handlock. the hardest part now is having the gas to finish. i dont like any of the current card draw options for hunter now.
