Not even close to unplayable enough to dust for any reason. If you're really not enjoying the usual druid playstyle then even more excuse to keep the quest, as it's the most interesting deck to come out for druid in a long time
I figured i will keep it to see if it gets interesting. Its unplayable right now because of the agrroish/midrange meta but i believe it may be viable in the future.
by unplayable I mean literally no chance of ever being competitive no matter what other cards come out e.g. Booty Bay Bodyguard
Same here, I've never played a tier 1 deck (besides patron) but not because of needing to be a special snowflake or anything. Rather, I simply don't see the fun or challenge in looking up a list that has explanations on mulligan/tech/matchups and just doing what that person says you gotta do to win. The enjoyment I get from the game is steadily building my collection so I can create interesting/ suprising decks to experiment with and refine.
My favourite cards in the game are ones that allow creative deck building, cards like The Curator and Steamwheedle Sniper. Creativity seems to just be necessary to the enjoyment of the game for some people. It's probably best to not feel too superior but that personally doesn't stop me from feeling a little disdain towards netdeckers. It's just the pursuit of instant gratification in winning as much as possible, however it is achieved.
On the other hand, hearthy wouldn't be nearly as big as it is without netdecking, so I guess it's kind of a necessary evil :/

reeaaaaally hoping they nerf caverns, crafted it like day 2, convinced it was good and keen to try some interesting deck building. Then of course the optimum build was discovered so quickly I've barely even touched
Hey, now that i think about it, Druid quest is op as well! nerf plz
Cause 99% of the community can't create a good, balanced card that fits the theme of the expansion/class for shit?
Seriously, so many people complain about blizz design but if it were up to the players the entirety of hearthstone would plummet into the abyss of videogames that just didn't make the long haul
Hey, maybe hs could say hi to duke nukem forever for us...
I'm not amazing at deck building but over the years I've built some pretty decent and quirky lists and can pilot most of them to rank 15 (which doesn't sound amazing but I don't really have the time to grind any more than that)
Seconding this thread as a great idea and offering to help with building and explaining decks. Would love to see this take off and have some interesting ideas thrown around.
To add to op's suggestion of helping with interesting deck concepts this could also be a place for peeps with small collections to be assisted with making fun viable decks
Right now I'm testing a wild hobgoblin warlock with the new tar dudes, pretty fun and effective, needs more tuning though
i actually really want to try a hobgoblin deck. i assumed it could be very good with firely/igneous elemental, echoing ooze, tar creeper, stonehill defender and such. not sure if paladin or warlock would be better for it since divine favor can just draw you a ton of cards at once. sadly i dusted my hobgoblins about a week after i crafted them during GvG and havent gotten around to crafting them again
Yeah it is a very fun deck. I like it in warlock best, as you're trying to combo you need to be able to draw consistently. What makes the deck better now is the high quality 1-attack taunts, which help stall the game and protect the hobgoblin. Basically, if one of them survives a single turn it's game over :D
As a rule I never disenchant anything other than extras, I still have cards like minimage from gvg

as for aggro, I don't think i've ever made a deck that stomps it so conclusively. they always overextend into an easy board clear and it doesn't matter which class is doing the aggroing, 50+ healing is just too much to recover from
I really don't think either is necessary actually. Most games go to fatigue but even if I go in first there's so much healing it'd take 5+ damage to even start making a dent. If you're talking about just value then I guess it would help against other control decks. That would require more card draw maybe, in order to not fuck up the tempo match up
Obviously if you're already running beasts or murlocs (or dragons in wild) then you only need the other two to get insane value, and deck thinning, with Curator. Single copies are fine (I run decks with just the 4 card package) as long as the pulls are tech cards, as long as you get you're aoe or whatever then u don't care

I feel like Doomhammer and Gorehowl should also be given legendary status and maybe a small buff to reflect that

I always have 2 decks for each class, would definitely love more deckslots so I can easily flick between them
and yes, some people do actively play all 18 slots and would play more if they could

So here's a little tidbit for anyone looking for a few cards to round out a deck
The Curator + Primordial Drake, Corrupted Seer and either Stampeding Kodo or (and this came as a surprise to me too) Stubborn Gastropod. Gastro is, in my opinion, very underrated and possibly one of the best 2 drops in standard
Obviously if you're already running beasts or murlocs (or dragons in wild) then you only need the other two to get insane value, and deck thinning, with Curator. Hope you find this helful!
