posted a message on Making Inner Fire combo work

You guys are missing one of the absolute essentials for IF combo: crazed alchemist, 2 in fact. They go great with your shadow word removal in a pinch too. I've tried confuse before, with the idea of having a decent board, healing them with circle and divine spiriting buuut it kinda sucks.

Overall I think the damage otk is better for priest. Really not hard to pump out 30 damage in a turn. Playing against warrior is an absolute nightmare though

posted a message on WOTOG Standard Murloc Shaman

I'm trying out a similar deck but I've found that it works better as less aggro and more comboy. Due to the way everyfin works, I try not to have too many murlocs that cost too much. Bluegill warrior is good for rushing but costs 1 more than the amount of murlocs you get down, as opposed to tidehunter. Point is, if you can already afford everyfin, tidehunter can be put down for free, gaining you a 4/3 and 3/3 on top of your board. Also, tinyfin is absolutely essential in this deck as it makes your extremely crucial spell come a turn early. It's not hard to have an insane board on turn 4-5 if you play your cards right.

I have a cthunlock that he works quite decently in, there could be a better choice in the slot but he's ok

posted a message on To netdeck haters

Personally I enjoy making my own decks, trying out concepts and synergies that don't seem obvious and, frankly, are often just bad. Like spell damage mage or highly aggressive discard warlock (lol). I find that, for my experience of fun in the game, winning with a deck that seems just.. silly is an enormous enjoyment. I find it particularly amusing imagining my opponent thinking "what the fuuu" when he loses to a specific card that everyone on any forum tells him he should never be afraid of.

For example, majordomo executus is, by all accounts, crap. Yet I've found that in a somewhat altered freeze mage deck, he does quite well. After you've freezed and doomsayered their board, chucked down emps for a turn or two and, just when your opponent thinks "yep, toni, aaany second now", down goes majorlamo. Of course he kills it to get you down to 8 health but you were already at 18 so you only lost 3 health. Then he pops your ice block. Then you chuck down alex at 8 ;), and kill incects. Keep freezing the board, frost nova, cone, blizz, frostcaller. Finally he's fed up, you're out of clears and he floods the board. Down goes deathwing, opponent concedes, laugh all the way to the bank (rank 15)

I'm not a good player, never broke rank 12 and consistently loose to players I know are worse than me. But that doesn't matter too much to me because the element I love most about the game is deck building. I don't mind losing to a worse player using a better deck, the few wins more than make up for that. I enjoy high risk, high stakes games that are decided less with meta shifts and more with clever, devious plays (and a fair amount of luck ;) ). I seek the thrill of a long, even match that is decided by the explosive, legendary plays that, to me, make this game what it is.

I don't hold it against anyone for playing a net deck, I merely wish to reveal a differing perspective to enjoyment of this game. I hope that maybe some of you might try some crazy, wacky deck that makes your opponents scratch their heads sometime.

posted a message on New Priest Card - Embrace the Shadow

Obviously not many ppl here have played a combo shadow priest and lost a game cause used both their soulpriests earlier on. I think this card is very comparable with feign death, in that it's definitely a card that will be dead in hand start of game but the end game potential is game winning. Unlike fd though, you don't need an existing board presence (other than maybe velen, who will become a lot stickier with a bgh nerf) and the combo is burst from hand, which is a lot harder to counter. I can see this working in a vanilla heal deck as a 1-of that lets you switch up the pace late game to offer an alternative win condition. Just my 2 cents

Sooooorry got confused. Honestly, just grab the first wing from both. Arguably the best ledges and you won't ever have to worry about not having access to them

At the absolute least grab the first wing of brm before wog hits, you don't want to be left out when it becomes unavailable for purchase through $ or gold. As said above, it is also very possibly the best wing, having thaurrisan as its legendary. It shouldn't be too hard to get the remaining <300 gold in the 2-4 weeks still available.

Haha! Very apt that your screen name is such, seeing as you've Completely and Utterly forgotten what the term T E M P O actually means
I already play my shaman in an aggressive/midrange style, this card will single handedly propel the archetype over the f*ing moon!

posted a message on New Paladin Legendary Card - Ragnaros, Lightlord

For those complaining about this guy, the boogeydude or new hogger, remember:

The amount of characters in the warcraft world is, indeed, vast but it is also finite. Yes they could only release named characters as legendaries but that means they'd run out pretty fast. Would you rather they release a few "bullsh*t", lore breaking cards interspersed throughout expansions or all at the end? Because the latter would surely herald the death of hearthstone. This is why they released ledges like Skycap last expansion.

I personally find it very positive that team 5 have longevity as one of their main goals (hence also the introduction of formats so early in the games life). It makes me happy, because I enjoy this game deeply and wish for it to be around for as long as possible. So, for the naysayers, try to consider decisions made for the long term prosperity of hearthstone, rather than instant gratification.

posted a message on Most Underrated Cards

For me it's Sense Demons. Back in the day, I made a hybrid deamons/handlock deck with jaraxxus, malganis and voidcaller. If you have 1 of them, you play sense demons and get the other 2. It is the *only* targeted draw currently in the game I believe

posted a message on Offhands and Shields - New Concept

Well no, it's just one for each of the classes that don't have weapons. Mage gets a freezing hero power, which could be quite good, priest gets permanent buff/debuff from hero power, warlock gets daemon synergy for non daemon minions etc. The point is that it's a tempo loss for some value which increases with synergy. Also, the mana cost/durability are pretty arbitrary at this point and could easily be changed for balancing purposes
