Thank god, I was starting to get worried that with NZoth gone Warlocks wouldn't be able to get 4 Voidlords on the board against me. But it sounds like this + summoning portal will solve the problem.
As others have mentioned, you should be fine. My guess is that the only reason they disabled it is to make it easier for people to complete quests who may not have a friend to play with and may not know about the quest trading.
You guys are way too jaded. I got friend-requested twice so far after beating the opponent (having played this game for about 2 months). First time I ignored it, thinking the same thing the rest of you do. Second time I accepted, the guy told me he was impressed by my deck, asked me where I found it, and after I told him I built it myself because I was too poor to build a net-deck, he said the deck inspired him to pick up the class I was playing. The guy is also further ahead of me, so it has been a great mentorship experience. We're still friends, and often spectate/advise each other as we play. You can refuse these friend requests for fear of an occasional asshole, but in the end you're only boning yourself.
Are you sure that it's not the quest reset time for the Americas? I think it is. I'm on the East Coast, my quests always reset at 3 AM, which corresponds to 12:00 AM PDT (3 hour difference), and is 1 minute after the 11:59 PM time they stated.
I'm a new player myself, just started 2 months ago, I'm not really F2P anymore, but I am pretty frugal about my spending. I never pay $ for individual card packs, but I do buy well-discounted ones. I would say I'm doing well, rank 11 last season, rank 10 so far this season. Here is what worked for me:
Before you get a decent collection, just do daily quests to get gold and play arena.
Don't disenchant anything, don't craft anything until you know the exact cards for the deck you need (especially don't craft legendaries, the cost-reward ratio imo just isn't there for someone starting out - i.e. you're much better off crafting Savannah Highmane than King Krush, for example).
Secret Mage, Face Hunter, and Midrange Hunter tend to be the cheapest decks that still perform well on the ladder. Of them, Secret Mage is Tier 1, the rest are Tier 2-3, but I crafted the hunter because I had more cards for it and there are fewer cards rotating out than for mage.
Whether you're starting out or not, ladder is a lot of grinding. Just because you're a tier 1 deck, doesn't mean people just concede to you. My first hunter build kept losing to Cubelocks, my current iteration has about 55% win rate against them, not bad considering my deck is ~2000 dust and theirs is ~20k.
Even if you consider yourself F2P, some things are just too much value to pass up. For example, the $5 Welcome Bundle is just worth it. Until I got it, I felt like I couldn't build anything meaningful, you either buy it or accept that you'll be 2nd class citizen for first 3-4 months. I ended up buying that, Mammoth Bundle, and pre-ordered Witchwood via Amazon coins. I probably won't buy any other expansions next year, but for $65 I've made the game a lot more fun for myself.
Does it really matter? Without ultimate infestation the deck wont work anyway.
Nourish performs a similar task fairly well to refill your hand.
Assuming a deck wont work just because of one card is pretty naive at best. And thats assuming there isnt another card that can fulfill this function too.
Since odd/even cards have such a heavy downside, their power levels will naturally be higher to compensate. So considering how strong UI is, its quite safe to assume there will be an even stronger version to replace it.
Moreover, Druids existed before Frozen Throne expansion and did fine in the past. I think they'll survive not having a spell that will eventually rotate out anyway.
I do like the idea of "sandbox" mode for this, where you control both decks. Ideally, we would also be able to test cards we don't yet have to see what's worth crafting to improve the deck, but even if we just build both decks out of cards we do have for testing, that would be useful as well. It could allow us to gain an understanding of card interactions before getting boned by them. Just yesterday I got screwed in an Arena run when opponent played Embrace Darkness on my Bog Creeper. I, wanting to keep the taunt, played Faceless Manipulator on it to get another copy. What I didn't realize, is that it would copy over the Embrace Darkness mechanic as well. At the end of the turn, the opponent got 2 Bog Creepers, and I got screwed. It's interactions like this that I would like to test on my own.
As a Russian speaker, I'm confused what the guy translating these is smoking. You could say the same thing with less text and without trying to be fancy: '+1 к атаке и "Неистовство ветра" если это существо повреждено.'
Moreover, I would have translated "Windfury" keyword as "Сила ветра" instead of "Неистовство ветра". It's like they're going out of their way to make the text longer. What they did is equivalent to English version saying 'Has +1 Attack and "Power of the furious wind" if this creature has health that isn't completely full .'
Witchwood expansion introduces a new card, Azalina Soulthief. Multiple people already pointed out that the card seems gimmicky. Trying to figure out myself what it could possibly be used for, here is what I came up with:
The latest reveal video claimed 18 new playble deck styles (even an odd for each class), this is Blizzard's statement, not mine, at 1:30 of Dean Ayala's video.
If the above is true, you could be matched against an inverse of your own class (you're odd druid, he's even druid).
As it stands, omitting odd/even cards seriously gimps your deck. For example, most powerful existing druid cards are even (Ultimate Infestation, Spreading Plague, Swipe).
What if one was to use Azalina to obtain the cards your deck is missing from the opponent's hand?

Synergizes well with Obsidian Statue.
2
This will obliterate Spell Hunter, if that's still a thing in new meta.

Agreed, I would like to see Spellproof as a keyword, especially since it's a common Adapt choice.

Wow, the one time Hungry Ettin summoning a Doomsayer is actually a good thing.
