I don't think you understand the combo. You play your 8 mana Mecha'thun and Bloodbloom out a Cataclysm. Cataclysm then discards your hand and destroys all minions, fufilling two of the three Mecha'thun requirements with the third being to have no deck. Even if you have minions in play, unless they have minion summoning deathrattles then Mecha'thun will still go off.
The King Togwaggle thing would actually work, but they could just play the ransom and you've only delayed the combo by a turn.
As for the combo I don't think it is as easy as people seem to think it is to draw your whole deck in a timely fashion. I'm not even sure you want to play the even variant and not just go for a control variant with some more draw. I'm looking forward to trying it out, but my hopes are not set high.
The Cataclysm destroys all minions so that's not really a viable counter
Your opponent creating a board of cubed deathrattle minions could be a counter so I think the current egg/cube hunter could counter this deck quite nicely.
Unless I'm reading the Mecha'thun wrong and it's only your side of the battlefield in which case Rattling Rascal and Hoarding Dragon are the only cards that can counter the combo, and those cards are just bad
Yeah he kinda just stuck the combo into evenlock without really tuning it any more. I think if you tuned it a bit more towards defence then it could do some cool stuff, but it just looks like a bad evenlock right now.
There are many sites that collect Hearthstone data from thousands of players over thousands of games. If there were those kind of systems in ranked the community would hear about it. Blizzard knows this and has literally no reason to secretly modify statistics in ranked. Why the fuck would blizzard ever implement that? You have no evidence whatsoever that Blizzard modifies such things.
I think it has some potential to go into cubelock at the moment, drawing your spellstone and cube/lackey is fairly strong, but it might not see play just because cubelock is doing some more insane stuff than drawing two cards for 7 mana.
I think it would work out. With almost half the deck being 1 cost cards, getting a decent Edwin should be pretty easy. It won't be as good as it was in tempo or miracle rogue, but I think it would still be worth running.
Damn, this post is a dumpster fire. His point has been countered multiple times by multiple people and yet he insists he's right. None of the DKs "failed miserably", they all saw play at one point or another. When comparing them to the quests where most of them were shitty, I'd say the DKs have been pretty successful. This thread should just be closed at this point.
Activision? ACTIVISION!? This is a Blizzard game you ignorant fuck. The game isn't in a great spot right now, but things change. The nerfs are coming and the next rotation is right around the corner. Sometimes this game is shit but getting fucked by a meta deck can be avoided. Play secret mage or something else with a favorable winrate against Cubelock. Variance is part of any card game. The bullshit draws might be at a high right now, but as I mentioned before, things change. Come back next expansion and see for yourself.

You could probably cut a Shroom Brewer or a Spellbreaker to add in Rin if you feel like that would work

Barnes is wild now, so that wouldn't really be an issue anymore

That is exactly what it means. It's a bit better, but I don't think it will ever see play.

Except this card costs 4 so Prince Valanar wouldn't be worth running in the same deck as this card.

Play this on Queen Carnassa for the ultimate quest hunter meme deck

I hope the Millhouse Manastorm one is real

I'd rather play one long cube mirror than 5 aggro druid games where the game is over by turn 3. At least these decks take some amount of skill.
